They didn't do that, yet. Thankfully you can always pirate the GOG versions so that you'll never be affected by their faggotry. Old GSC died in 2011, and current GSC is owned by a crook. No reason to buy, sorry, rent the trilogy.

The Stalker trilogy on Xbox One looks like a GTA San Andreas stalker mod. A good mod. But a weird full-price product. I sometimes wonder if Stalker could've looked better running on the renderware engine. The modding community with Renderware is just as talented as people who work with goldsource. Yes GTA mods look better than Definitive edition running on unreal 4 engine.

Here PS5 gameplay of stalker trilogy. How the fuck is Stalker trilogy being sold as a PS5 and Xbox Series X game? It would be questionable as a PS5 and Xbox One game. This meme about Playstation remasters has proven true every day.
 
NGL, I bought Shadow of Chernobyl for Playstation… and I’m having an awesome time with it! I’m loving the older-game charm, oddly reminds me of playing Command and Conquer Renegade back in the day. The gameplay is janky but in that addictive way that makes you wanna get better at it! The enemies and environments are fun too, if you never tried it before I recommend it!

Oh boy, here we go. I immediately noticed the non-existent lip syncing during the first conversation, then the second cut to their conversation had lip syncing but it was barely accurate. I wonder if they synced it to the English voice over rather than Ukrainian/Russian. But the body animations (in the cutscene) look fine. Ah, just realized that they released this trailer on the day of the Block 4 detonation, that's pretty funny. Overall, nothing. Just a "we're alive!" However the community manager stated that in the future there will be an actual gameplay trailer so that's good.
I really do not like preorders and I think everyone who preorders is a numbnut but I will admit it looks good. Maybe worth buying separately on ebay or something.

I predict those preorder packages to be an even bigger disaster than Bethesda's Fallout 76 moldy helmet, nylon bags and plastic rum bottles. All of those got announced back in 2021 when the preorders first started. Remember, this was before the war, there was no gameplay footage whatsoever, and 2021 was the initial release date. It's quite possible that those fancy preorder editions won't even be made and everyone that paid for them won't get refunds or anything like that.

But, GSC could not wish for a better excuse for everything that they're doing wrong. They had to flee from the war, one of their developers died in the war, they are so so poor and you have to excuse every one of their wrongdoings because they fled from their homeland to Czechia and have been safe for ~1.5 years now. It's okay that the game will be an unfinished mess, it's okay that all those preorder sets won't get produced because Griga sold off GSC to Maxim Krippa who's shady as fuck.

No matter how badly GSC will fuck up, they'll have an army of loyal retards to cry about how GSC had to run away to avoid getting bombed by RuZZianZ, or prop up Volodymyr Yezhov's rotting, bloated corpse for the n-th time to silence any criticism towards GSC. Preorder STALKER 2 now to support Ukraine, don't care about whether or not there's gonna be a game of if it'll be good. Preorder it on the merit of it being Ukrainian.

Also, I'm pretty sure originally the bag and artifact container weren't part of this mega huge order, I think it was just a statue and sort off glowing artifact.

God, I'm so with you on this. It'll be a nightmare you can't criticize without being labeled as some pro-Russian clown. The amount of people who'll do everything in their power to protect something from criticism is sad, just look the Fallout TV show (spend 5 seconds in the Fallout thread).

The Tarkov stuff made me want to play STALKER SoC again. Only ever played it twice and that was vanilla.

You guys have any mods to recommend for a third play through?

Been playan Stalker REALITY for a year or so now. My only gripe is Limansky not putting the English dialogue in the new questlines and the questionable medical descriptions at times, though the latter is being addressed with every patch.

If you want an SoC experience, Anomaly is not that. Anomaly is a regurgitated mess of Call of Chernobyl, a freeplay mod and MISERY, a masochist mod. It's an autistic overhyped mess.

You can always look up 4chan's /sg/, people there actually give a shit about STALKER outside of your typical 4chan spergery, rare case where a vidya thread is actually about vidya and has a level of quality to it. It helped me out a lot learning about stalkan. People there will surely give some nicer pointers if the usual WhatMod graphics and link trees aren't enough. Just remember that Anomaly, GAMMA, OP-2.2 and OLR 3.0 are memes.

I took a brief look at that image (specifically the "polished vanilla storyline" section) and saw Autumn Aurora 2, which is a name I've read before. Is that one any good?

Last I played, I just played vanilla with Zone Reclamation Project. Autumn Aurora 2 is an older graphical and gameplay overhaul, never really played it. You should avoid any Complete mod, they're old and generally shit, making the game way too easy. There's also AMK which is a classic SoC expansion mod.

Again, look up 4chan's /sg/, they have all the info you need, and you can always ask. It's a slow general that keeps it's class and people there will help you, or give you a quick rundown to fill in any knowledge gaps.
