S.T.A.L.K.E.R. (Stalker) Thread

Is Stalker 2 coming out first or is Bloodlines 2 coming out first?
Probably Stalker 2. Says a ton that a bunch of Slavs in a war-torn nation can make a game better and quicker than whatever goyslop devs Paradox found to work on Bloodlines 2 in between their dilating sessions.

That said I do love that the trailer showed off a nice mix of Soviet-era decay and outright weirdness in the Zone. Far too many people disregard the fact the Zone is literally a gaping wound in reality akin to a a giant Paradox backlash a la Mage (hell, that's literally what it is, now that I think about it) in favor of going all-in on the rust and grime. The greenery of the forest areas was a nice touch, too. There's plenty of still-living trees there, after all. Only the Red Forest is unique in that regard.

I mean these faggots havent been in a war torn country for almost 2 years now. Hell, thats not getting how the game was supposed to come out on 2021...then switched to 2022 and then more and more date changes. Bet ya, this time around we wont get anything again.

2 year delay seems impressive when you have staff literally dying

Me too! I think the environments and lighting look really good while still keeping the STALKER aesthetic.

Dying where? All of them left Ukraine moment shit hit the fan and only like 1-2 dumbfucks stayed, to show how "tots uber patriotic" they were. So ye, these fucks have zero excuses and really seems they dont have any game ready at all if we go by that leaked buile from last year which was then used at GameCon.

There's still more in the army. It's hard to leave a country at war when you're a man.

Ye, that wa the guy I talked about. To my knowlegde, there wasnt any info of any other devs being in the Ukraine army, cause if that was the case the guys from A4 would be recruited as well, last I checked they said 'Hasta la manana" back in 2014. Heres a bigger mindfuck, some of these devs (and also former GSC devs) are now actually workin for a Russian game company, making a game called Pioner.

Why the fuck does it have Far Cry "enemy alerted direction" indicator on the screen? What Stalker needed was QTE and more cutscenes.
Because they wanna show off how they totally mastered the Unreal Engine. Despite still sucking at making facial animations, lypsincing or character models (Seriously look up how the females look in this game)

I've been thinking about trying to get into the Stalker games here recently; anyone have any suggestions? Which one do you guys think captures the setting the best? Which one's the most fun?

Try with Call of Pripyat first, then Shadow of Chernobyl and Clear Sky.

Note: Contains degeneracy caused by Sseth himself.

SoC is the best in all aspects (throw on ZRP and go - downgrade the game to patch 1.0005 if you are elite hacker enough to eliminate a bug introduced in later patches or just avoid eating foodstuff off corpses if you can't be bothered), CS is an acquired taste, CoP is the ubisoftication of Stalker and the worst of the lot

like with everything always, you play by order of release or need not apply

COP is definitely the worst of the trilogy but I hardly think calling it Ubisoft-tier is fair. It certainly deserves some praise for being the only game to have actual sidequests that have characters and the slightest bit of set dressing beyond "go here, kill thing."

Keep in mind that SoC barely even had characters.

"I do not know who I am. I do not know where I am from. All I know is that I must kill Strelok."
