When you have "we must support the current thing" redditors standing up against GSC's censorship and malding at anything Russian, you know that the line in the sand wasn't just stepped over but stomped on and made a mockery of.

Ukranians really are the niggers of the Eastern Bloc with how sensitive they are. I've seen the fatigue from gamers creep in with this sort of behavior in gaming from developers in recent times.

It is idiotic, because in Stalker 2 they kept the CNPP sign, however, it is gone here, but the hammer and sickle in garbage is still there, and the lenin statue, so there is no reason why it's gone. It also wasn't GSC making these changes, it was Mataboo, since S2 has the sign I can't tell if it was handled by some extremely retarded polack seething at the sign, or if someone at GSC did tell them to do it.

Into the Radius is good if you're like one of the 12 people on earth (like me) who still uses their VR headset.

I've been playing SHoC and I've noticed some issues so far.

1. The English translation is horrible, there are typos and weird punctuation everywhere. It was clearly made with Google Translate or something similar. In fact, while I was fighting the Bandits on the Garbage, one of their barks got translated to "Get that creep" instead of "Get that Stalker".

2. For some reason NPC's "pile up" while fighting. It has happened twice while on the Garbage. NPC's just get stuck together on a certain spot and don't move unless they have to reload.

3. You can no longer "charge" grenades to determine how far they're thrown.

4. Bis' mission to defend the camp got stuck because I choose to attack the Bandits on my own instead of talking to him, but I think that's an issue on the OG game anyway.

5. The game crashed twice, but not like the original game where it just closes and the iconic X-Ray error message appears, but rather it crashed and froze my entire PC.

All 3 games have been unlisted. They can still be purchased, but they won't show up when searched.

Despite Russian being removed, if you select Polish you hear the Russian language with a Polish voiceover lmao

I assume they used a generic 4x ESRGAN upscaler on everything. That shit is not trained to deal with those old school 1 pixel thick scanline stylizations. Hell, if you look at the shit the author of RoSA Project Evolved for GTA:SA has to do to faithfully recreate all the textures you can get an idea how much actual work you'd need to put in every asset. But obviously this was meant to be a cheap cash grab since holy shit, they've done even less visual touchups than what STALKER modding has managed to do by now.

I always had a massive gripe with that localization. Don't get me wrong, having Mirosław Utta do a VO over the Russian lines was one of the best Polish localizations ideas ever, right up there with all the localized jokes in family animations when it comes to it's genius. Really makes you feel like you're watching an old VHS tape brought in from the East, it's localized so much that only people the localization it was meant for can fully appreciate it and that's what makes it so GOATed.

The issue is that for some godawful reason, they took the English translation, translated that to Polish, and laid it over the Russian audio. It has all the translation errors like "get out of here stalker" instead of "go your own way stalker", which could've been omitted by doing a fresh translation from Russian to Polish, which would be way more accurate due to the inherent similarities of the two, yet they chose it to do it this way and it still irks me.

I was pretty excited for the enhanced editions. All the videos and screen shots it looked great. Then I go into the games and everything looks blurry as shit in the distance. Trees the grass and it looks like it's pixelated as well. What the hell? I just went back to the originals and installed the Complete mod like I had before. The games just look better. Complete mod does a better job at enhancing the game than the originals. I will just have to enable V synch in the Nvidia control pannel for Shadow of Chernobyl and Call of Pripyat. I can even add anti-aliasing to SoC with the Nvidia control panel. All you get for anti-aliasing in the "enhanced" editions is MLAA and FXAA. I don't understand why everything looks so blurry and shitty in the distance. In the pictures and videos the enhanced editions looked great.

Oh well, should have known better than to get excited for something. What a let down.
