Seeing this like and dislike ratio go neck and neck is way too close for comfort’s sake. I know more people that will be playing System Shock and the Persona games on Xbox than some Saints Row™ ”reboot”.

Im gonna rant but, what's dog shit is that Saints Row 1 and 2 were fun games that mixed gang culture with a sense of humour and well written characters. I always found them charming/fun while also being invested in the characters and their quirks. 3 was more silly, for sure, but it was fun. It just felt like a more light hearted entry in the series. By 4, I was pretty jaded - I played half of that one but lost interest as it felt like they went entirely off the deep end with the whole humour side of the game. I never bothered with the DLCs.
This new one coming out is just entirely how the series shouldn't have gone and is such a huge misstep. I know we have a lot of serious games nowadays but it would have been nice to have gotten a return to that criminal lifestyle, gang culture style simulator with interesting characters / fun dialogue and a good balance of humour and dark shit.
Like, I see Saints Row 1 and 2 as being like the HBO show Oz. Gritty and dark but also fun and kinda campy. The new one is more like generic teen Netflix drama #285452947, a lifeless carbon copy of every generic ass, loser twitter blue checkmark out there.

Keep in mind that ratios are rarer precisely because YT removed seeing the dislikes to assuage rich assholes and company's asspain when their bullshit attempts to astroturf fail.

I want this "Saints Row" to fail for the sole reason of Volition being idiotic enough to "experiment" after AOM nearly killed their asses.

I don't think I have ever in my life rooted for a developer to be shut the fuck down, but I am there now. End Volition and let Saints Row RIP. I feel like it is a real possibility for things to play out exactly that way, and I couldn't be happier.

I'm shocked there's still some people who has hope in this fucking game. Their argument boils down to "You're stuck in the past" to "Saints Row 1 and 2 are products of their time" This game is DOA.
