All of you are forgetting that the current year way to bring fan favorite characters back is to show them as hollow shells of what they once were, before having the new characters break them down and proving themselves to be superior in every way.

In the end, the old fan favorite will sacrifice himself to save one of the new characters, leaving everyone a deep feeling of unsatisfaction

This game has no focus, no vision, and will have no execution. First they pander to the woke mob in the hopes it drives hype and goodwill, then they pander to the thirst traps and simps in the hopes it.. does something?

Tera Patrick wasn't exactly beloved either. She's a forgettable cameo but she fit the mold way better than Amouranth ever will.
Plus I doubt Amouranth is either in this game or excited to larp as a gangsta.

Isn't the trajectory just perfect, though? They hired some bazillionaire thot with the personality of sawdust to do a photoshoot for their 3edgy5me game that's as edgy as a teddy bear. This is seriously a situation - and the only situation where I'd ever say this - where even Belle Delphine would make more sense.

This disaster of a game is starting to be fascinating in that it's supposed to be edgy, but can't break any modern societal rules due to the cultural climate forbidding anything even slightly edgy, and this is what they've come up with. A true Saints Row couldn't possibly work under modern conditions, because it would be a paradox.

It's hilarious that this game oozes many things, except cool factor.

It's embarrassing and video games are pretty much dead, at least in the west.

Like the Fisher King, there's something about Volition going this route that signals to me that video games are fucking dead in the west, they just had to bet the farm on being anti-Goofy Gape and now they're reaping what they sowed.

Maybe like a Phoenix from the ashes it will rise again, but for now it seems like it's dead.

Oh there's a certain dark satisfaction watching Volition desperately scrabbling for attention by walking back and trying to sell with sleaze. It's beautiful to watch the double think and panicking gasps of a corporation about to be fucking liquidated.

All they literally had to do was patch and then remaster SR: 2. Or fuck, dig up SR 1's coding and make it fit for PC gaming and release that.

That guy needs to know that the Volition working on this reboot are NOT the same people that worked on SR1/2. People are saying that the game is "woke" is cutting it short. People are mad that Volition is radically departing from the gangster era of yesterday for a "millennial power fantasy."

I believe that Tera Patrick was added into marketing for shock value. Remember that Saints Row 2 was competing with GTA IV at that time. It was innocent enough to ignore if that's not your thing.
