Saints Row thread

  • Happy Easter!
I predict this will "flop" insofar it will sell 2-5 million copies, but the publisher will have expected far more and consider it a failure and shelf the series for a few years. Then they'll make another reboot that's better than this one, but still worse than every other previous Saints Row game.
I don't think Volition can survive another flop so at least they might be killed off after this.

They didn't even get why people might turn to crime.

It's obvious that nobody who had any part in writing this has ever had to wonder if they should skip the electric or the gas bill this month to pay the other. It's REALLY obvious that they've always had money for Funco Pops to shove in their ass, craft beers, and Door Dash, but consider themselves poor.

Saints Row was the Saints accidentally finding some kind of superhuman killing machine by accident that would never stop killing and just rolling with it.

GTA has always tried to be a little grounded.

But this? This is just what the laptop caste thinks people who are poor are like.
Give it to me, I'll shit on it more efficiently if I don't have to wait a day for the pirated version.

It will flop for sure, but there's never gonna be a reboot because by that point, the franchise is sadly dead. As I said before, the 2000s was the final great decade, and nothing will ever top it. We will never ever recreate such a decade like it.

The weirdest thing to me is that while granted The Boss does not have a canon gender femboss from the earlier games was like the perfect progressive female character. She was sadistic, violent, funny, charismatic, a natural leader, and commanded so much respect that even a one man genocide machine like Gat treated her with respect and reverence.

And they threw her away for this fucking shit?

Why?

This makes me suspect this game has been in production immediately after Agents Of Mayhem flopped like saggy breasts on old women.
I resent that comment, SIR.

SRIV handled that superhuman aspect better than THIS.

How the fuck do this many retarded writers and devs worm their way into these companies? Is it the diversity quotas? I don't understand why they'd think it was a good idea to come out with such a moronicly bad game when they (hopefully should) know they're going to be fucked if this flops, and this is guaranteed to be liked by no one but retards on twitter who won't even play it or the most normie of normalfags who'll buy any trash triple A game. When they eventually do the layoffs, I imagine the smug faggot running the Twitter account will be one of the first to go, this shit is embarrassing.

The protagonist will have PTSD because xir once went to a gun shop and just the sight of the guns sent xir into a seizure.
Attack Helicopter/Attack Helicoptur had an emotional breakdown when the drug supplier Attack Helicopter/Attack Helicoptur was dealing with was very rude, and took to Twitter to rant and cry about it for 10 tweets.

Not knocking the character customization from SR2-4, it feels that the femboss was just The Boss without any defining traits that she IS female. Not a big issue, just something worth noticing.

90s was great too. A nice set up for the 00s.

I dont think that has changed with this one, look at Nuboss's movement in that clip above and tell me thats not a male frame
I'm not talking about her frame; I'm talking about character interactions around her. I think 4 did it better.

I would say the only thing that could "save" them would be a 1+2 remake for modern consoles. But, given how R* handled their legacy trilogy, that would further destroy any last goodwill Volition would have.

Because women have been replaced with “womyn” who have masculine tendencies, but feminine personalities. We don’t have real “female” leaders anymore; just tools that look “female”.
