Kinzie was also one of the earlier examples of the hacker nerd gamergirl stereotype anyhow, and it has effectively been run into the ground since then. Old SR used to also be good at layering their character archetypes with unconventional or humorous details, like Kinzie being a giant fucking coomer (like most shut-ins) or Pierce being into kitchy karaoke. Gat being happily married is another example.

I'm glad many of you kiwis are going back to SR2, i have no option but to play the OG series and it's still funny, i've unlocked the shock pads and had to do the FB's hitman list, i decided to revive him and his bodyguards after i was done and chaos ensured because the bodyguards aren't affiliated with any gang, they become hostile to anyone that hits the dude in the suit (which has a fuckton of health by the way) and i aggroed some ronins to attack them, spent 10 fucking minutes laughing and reviving the fuckers until they despawned by dying too far away from aggro, even the police joined and seeing that npc with the mascot suit taking over a billion bullets was the funniest shit, he always get staggered by shots but he can't be dropped or pushed...

Maybe their pseudo anonymity gives them leway to be critical without risk of backlash. If a Vtuber gets cancelled, they can go back to working a day job. Publishers also can't send thugs to their house to intimidate them like Rockstar did.
