- None of the unimportant side characters get illustrations and most of them really need it because they had traits contradicting each other although this character named Patches that appears for five fucking seconds gets one
- A few new characters are illustrations, but they're basic furry character designs with horns slapped onto them
- Fontaine is now this almighty merciless bitch under the alias "Gatsby"

A few nsfw illustrations exist and of course it's only the women characters

- The illustrations should've been put at the beginning of the book because it's nice to know what the character in a scene looks like, but it also fucks up the course of the book
- Stop overwording and overexplaining everything. The book would be halved if the explanations were simplified
- If you want people to stop saying your stuff is fap material, stop putting shit like this in your book. The naked illustrations of Bazzil and Teazzer that appear afterwards just makes it worse

Wyley gets fucked up by Lucy somehow despite their height difference
Bartholomeus gets impaled through the head by Teazzer or Bazzil
Goldune is also killed by young Lucy after escaping a fire and finished off by dousers because they were apparently near their territory
Marvel gets caught in his own grinder after a fight with Ludwig
Barnaby isn't necessarily killed, he just gets decapitated and is never seen again, same with Butika, who I forgot to mention

It's random violence. Literally has no relevancy to the book plot

First chapter describes infanticide/cannibalism, using decapitated corpses as chairs, disembodied heads with ahegao faces, detailed humiliation rituals, and a brothel with decapitation corpse sex.

Thanks for pointing this stuff out because I wasn't really paying attention to the book and couldn't give less of a shit to find it out.

Maybe it'd be better if I didn't try and pay attention to it.

I love how Fennah's characters have these fancy names like Yeshua and Barnaby and then there's just basic names like Sally and Dalton. Also, why is Yeshua still called Yeshua if the fact he's based off of God is no longer canon?


What also fucks up the story is that there's so many unimportant side characters. There's 500 other named characters that have no description at all. Maybe they'll be in the second book (if we see it in our lifetimes)

Penelope: Got a description interpretation, yet was never seen either

The way the writing was structured seemed like he realised he forgot half of his characters and he just shoved them together all at the end of the book with no sort of fleshing out of their lore whatsoever. Even characters like Thallius and Fleischer had barely any parts.

I'm also surprised Methusa aka one of his busty thicc female characters was killed and not kept alive for the sake of fap material.

TLDR: -70/10, would not read again

They both scream "I'm a pretentious fuck and I also want to make furry porn". I also will never get over how he has like one default model for his characters and just randomizes the number of tits, horns and how long their necks are.

Also, to the surprise of no one, half of the book is dedicated to explaining things and if you don't do it right then what happens is, but before that let me tell you books are basically reading material for humans, they are usually made of leather and paper but before that they were made of papyrus only, one of the first books for example was the Bible, which has had many iterations throughout human history, books nowadays are formatted electronically but there are still many libraries around, anyways, what i wanted to say is that your reader will get bored reading and waiting for the story to continue, and will skip the explanation and/or throw the book into the toilet.

I began reading the ebook version of Amygdala today, and I'm up to chapter 5. The writing style isn't terribly confusing to me, but there's a good deal of purple prose which gets annoying after a while. I actually am enjoying what I've read so far, but I honestly don't have the highest literary standards of the farms.

One thing though, I get really confused with the way Sam describes the characters, and I wish the illustrations were put before a new chapter instead of after. I had the politician snake guy with one eye in my mind as some sort of crazy squid-snake thing, but the illustration is a snake-goat with the "tendrils" looking like hair and not tentacles. It is just really hard to picture them accurately.

Another thing I wanted to say after reading about his super unique special species reproduction habits is, why are there considered to be two sexes? If both male and female kivs have the same reproductive organ and fluids, as well as two kivs of the same sex being able to create offspring, why is there any distinction between the sexes at all? The point of identifying sex is reproductive capability, and for kivs anyone is compatible with another. I thought it would be a bird situation with cloacas or something, but no. They're exactly the same biologically. It's stated that kivs don't care about gender or anything, but why describe Lucy as a lesbian when that contradicts the gender thing? Why is gender even a thing in this universe where anybody's bodies can look like anything? What exactly is a man or woman to these creatures? Why do the females have breasts if they don't care for offspring at all after they're born? (I know, just asking from a worldbuilding perspective) Wouldn't preferences for certain specific attributes make more sense, like a fetish for long claws or multiple tails or something? I get Sam wants his dyke waifu alien furries to fuck each other, but make it make sense at least. He could have just made literally every character "female" like the gems in Steven Universe to accomplish that. That would give him an excuse to make everyone have humongous tits at least, but I would miss characters like Dalton who I enjoy the look of.

I wish I could upload the ebook somehow to share, but Amazon is draconian about their DRM protection and I can't be bothered to figure it out right now. I'm sure if bought from another book site it might be a different case, but I'm not spending my money on the same book twice.

MFW on his stream he keeps pointing out dumb mistakes in the book - like the cover being very misaligned in the hardcover (for fucking 60 bucks this should not be a thing just saying) and other shit like inconsistencies in his writing/character description. But according to him it's okay, he fixed it for the next editions and "it's just little quirky things. Make sure you hold onto it 'cause you never know! Might be worth a pretty penny in the future and this way you can identify the first edition!".

Fennah, stop deluding yourself. You've sold as many copies as you did because there are either degenerates like you who are sycophants, or people that want to laugh at you for your fetish taken literary form... You're not gonna bring in any fresh blood to the putrid pool you have already. It's not gonna be on Times as the grand all best selling fictional book of all times... If anything it's gonna be on discount soon enough, not go up in price.
