How is it not comedy?
Because it's not funny and I don't think it's even meant to be funny. It's just sneering politically-motivated derision with a thin coat of paint. People are stupid as fuck and all they see is the paint. In some cases, people know what it is, but they go along with the gaslighting anyway because they want to feel like they're the ones doing it.
Why are we acting like Sam doesn't do the exact same humiliation ritual to his lessers?
Sam absolutely bullies people, I don't think anybody is suggesting otherwise. But "exact same"? No way. You really can't see the difference between the two things? The styles, the overall honesty and masculinity of the thing, etc? Does one not seem quite a bit more like throwing your rock and hiding your hand, perhaps?

It's one thing to think Harland isn't funny, but it's gay and delusional to think he's a vindictive superjew using comedy as a smokescreen just to subversively attack people. His goal is obviously comedy. He makes silly ass jokes and throws little snipes and trolls people - that's about it. He's not some sinister undercover career assassin lmao. If he was, he would've piled on way harder once Sam starting sperging out and making himself look retarded.

Even if he has a political hateboner for Sam, he just pushed his buttons a bit and got a rise out of him. It's not that serious man.

How do you determine when comedy that has a tinge of politics is sneering and derisive and when it is based? Does it boil down to whether you like it or not? There's a soylent redditor out there that thinks an anti-Trump joke is peak comedy for every Hyde fan that giggles at his jew jokes.

It's all the same puppet master shit.

Harness the full power of his brain (the parts not atrophied by gear) to remember some epic nigger infographs from /pol/.
It's sad not one of those motherfuckers have figured out how to be funny about that shit.

"Have you heard the 15/60 rule?"
"What?"
"That 15% of the population does 60% of certain actions, and no one ever mentions it."
"You gonna say something racist about crime, aren't you?"
"Nope, has nothing to do with crime."
"Then what?"
"15% of the population consumes 60% of the fried chicken and grape soda."

I don't see how so many people are missing this. Sam chimped out and shouldn't have, absolutely, but there's no question that Harland was intentionally trying to piss him off through out the podcast. And, no, it's not the same as his handling of other guests. "You look like you got raped" isn't some kind of dry humor or quirky "tee hee, I said a sexual thing!" comment. It's literally just "You're a faggot" ever so slightly dressed up.

Never in the history of the word has "You look like a bitch who gets raped" been a playful dig that is intended to solicit some kind of playful retort in response. There's nothing even to work with there. It's not like "I noticed you have a pink shirt on, so you must be gay" where there's some actual observation or medium for a reply such as picking out something Harland was wearing and making a similar insult based on that.

It's just blatant shit talking with a veneer of 'comedy' because it's a 'comedy' podcast. So, if you get upset with it, you're going to get told you can't take a joke or you're thinned skinned, even though there's no joke there. So, Sam initially just said "Thank you" which I think is a good dismissal of the it. But, it's obviously irritated him enough that when we get to the "You're a retarded chimp, go dance for me" part, he loses his cool.
This is so fucking gay lmao. I'm not gonna sit here and say Harland didn't have some kind of political resentment against Sam, it's certainly a possibility, but even if that's true who gives a fuck? He set up a scenario where he could bait Sam into looking like an asshole, and he took it hook line and sinker, and made an entertaining show out of this mess of an interview.

Sam is not this unflappable man of steel, at his heart he is an insecure art school fag that overcompensates, and once you find that pressure point you can fuck with him.

Its funny you're baffled by the comparisons to Norm, his contemporary whom he toured with for a million years and constantly hung out with when they were friends. Norm like Halrands comedy, I'd imagine he can pick things up a little more clearly than you. Especially since you assume Harland hates Sam politically, which is just bizarre for someone like Harland. I just dont think you know much about whats going on, like most Sam fans. Just in this ofd internet bubble that colors thing in some kind of aggressive paranoid light that makes you call everyone, even someone clearly not like Harland, a jew if they brush upon your internet villiage cheif the wrong way.

I mean maybe sam should watch a couple episodes of whatever show he is going on, before going on next time. Like i watched a few of this guys show and he is just silly and his shows are silly. Like if thats not sam's dig then whatever. But going on a man's show and complaining about him being silly when thats what the show is.... kinda mentally ill.

Holy fuck, that's one of the best videos I've ever seen. I've never thought you can see something like this outside of cinema, but life imitates art I guess. What a disaster.

[1:20] Already starts at a bad note. Since throughout the podcast Harland comments on the number of people in the studio and jokes on silent MDE crew members, I assume he didn't expect Sam to bring that many people and took it as disrespectful.
[1:49] Sam uses usual tactic of trying to disturb other party by using pinoy boy.
[4:25] Since it's not Anisa's husband, instead of being stunned by pinoy Harland actually uses him as a comedic prop which visibly annoys Sam.
[4:26 - 8:21] Some extremely awkward conversations. Harland tries to get Sam into some funny dialogue while Sam doesn't follow and instead replies with autistic phrases like a middle schooler who in the last summer learned what 4chan is.
[8:22] Sam takes second try to disturb Harland and stun him by saying "street nigger." Harland is not disturbed, challenges Sam to continue the bit. Sam doesn't know what to do since he has never been in a situation like this.
[8:47] Harland has more fun interactions with a pinoy (Sam's toy yes man who he humiliates for cheap jokes) than with Sam (the most important big boy) which angers Sam to the point he goes "I'm on a spectrum" mode for attention.
[9:27] Red from embarrassment Nick tries to salvage situation by making a joke prompted by Harland. Sam ignores it. He's too busy showing a boomer comedian he's a top alpha wolf.
[10:25] Harland tries to give Sam a chance by asking him to tell a story. Sam chokes.
[11:58] Baby Sammy is very serious about his heritage.
[12:14] Harland again gives Sam a chance, this time by giving Sam an opportunity to riff with him. Sam chokes again. Talks about jews again.
[13:17] Harland suddenly realizes Sam is not pretending to be a retard and very literally tells Sam they can start over. Sam ignores.
[14:00] Probably the worst moment of the episode (even worse than the table.) Nick tries to save the situation by connecting with Harland on the basis of both of them being Canadian. Absolutely UNACCEPTABLE for Sam, his yes men only speak when spoken to! Sam proceeds to publicly humiliate his closest friend for taking his spotlight for 0.1 microsecond.
[20:12] Harland tries to tell Sam it's enough embarrassing his friends. Sam still thinks it's hilarious (they could make a whole 8 minute Extreme Peace sketch based on this scenario.)
[20:36] Sam's ego receives so much damage it drives him to sperg out even more. Attempt fails which makes it even more cringe (he's pushing 40s btw.)
[20:59] Harland makes another attempt to save Sam from himself and start over. Sam pukes out YouTube shorts style comment.
[21:38] Harland is not amused by rape jokes and jokes about Sam being the raped. Sam gets so upset he almost cries.
[22:14] Harland again tries to vocally communicate that it is getting very embarrassing and they better get their shit together.
[22:26] Sam decided to hit Harland back with "being the raped" accusation. Harland, without blinking an eye, turns it into comedic improvisation. I think he tried to hook at least someone to riff with this, but instead Sam and the crew just sit there and listen to it (great guests lmao.) Whenever Harland hints that maybe it's time for them to engage they are like "no no continue story."
[25:46] Harland makes ANOTHER attempt. This time he decided "alright, these guys are weird, lets give them something nasty to joke about." Sam interrupts this attempt and complains that podcast is not fun. LOL.
[27:32] The start of the "Gorilla Nest Incident." It seems like it was a prepared bit for guests to do something funny and there was nothing malicious in it at all. Sadly, Harland wasn't instructed that Sam is mentally retarded manchild and literally any most random thing can set him off. Oh well.
[29:00] Sam tries to wrestle with Harland but gets mogged by a boomer half his size. CRINGE.
[33:16] A renaissance painting. Sam is seeing his father in Harland's face. Nick is red like a tomato and is having a mental breakdown live, all from shame. Charles tries to pretend nothing happens.
[34:23] Harland jokes about Sam's autistic behavior by asking about his childhood. A funny joke that makes Nick laugh out loud. It angers Sam so much he almost directly hits Harland. Stops himself at the very last moment. FUCKING CRINGE.
[34:24 - 36:14] Sam is so angry he barely controls himself. Tries to physically bully Harland like a mean kid in school. Tries to insult Harland but to do it in a "yeah bro I don't even care bro you're weird bro" way.
[36:15] "NO, HOW WAS YOUR CHILDHOOD!" Sam can't let it go.
[37:17] As a last nail in the coffin of Sam's career as a comedian, Harland makes the whole crew laugh. Symbolically, MDE crew is now behind Harland while Sam sits alone, angry and weak.
[46:17] Nick tries to apologise for his friend and offers to fix his mess like a mother apologising for her child throwing a tantrum in a supermarket.

Sam can disturb and dominate when he's up against cucked scrawny YouTuber or literal child. When Sam is up against an actual comedian he folds so hard he has a mental breakdown on camera. Imagine if it was someone funnier and/or edgier than Harland. Would Sam just rope himself live? I guess there's no mystery on what happened with World Peace anymore.

Man what I would give to hear the car ride back home the MDE crew had, I'm sure it would be very colorful language.
It most likely was completely silent. You know in school you often have these friend groups when one kid is a lot bigger than the rest, so the rest of the kids are friends with him just because otherwise he would beat them up. I unironically feel like it's exactly this situation with Sam and his "friends". When he ruined their careers with World Peace they kept their mouths shut. "Yeah Sammy, don't worry, I will just go sell cars and real-estate. I didn't even want a career in entertainment."
