In his last episode, Elliott Earls called Sam's Youtube videos "super interesting" and "very vernacular", not to mention pointing out Sam was shortlisted for applying to a high-level graduate school. He even criticizes his own graduate students for "player hating" Sam's Youtube work.

I watched the video and I have to admit that I am impressed. Very thought provoking stuff and I wasn't expecting it to be so deep. I think he ultimately misunderstands Sam's content, especially regarding individualism, and Sam is clearly not promoting nihilism. It was still a surprisingly refreshing and educated take when almost every single criticism of Sam is just "he Nazi."

The reason I don’t like Sam Hyde right now (I will in one week) is because he’s a meany and says stuff that should better my life but I’m stuck in my ways. I constantly drink, smoke, and mess around with multiple men way older than me. The stuff he said on Hyde Wars a few years back about women really set me off I think because it applies to me and I just feel sooo lost. i have no healthy habits/hobbies/outlets besides meeting new guys and getting really angry on the internet. I’m just not making anything of my life right now besides draining the resources from everyone around me and it SUX to say it out-loud. This forum is the best thing to happen in my life. Love you guys

The clip for some reason cuts out context. Someone posted the stream timestamp in a /tv/ thread trying to call out same for being insane or something. To me it seems like Sam is reacting to the superchat before it, then reads the second one after jet cuts it off.
