The gang is back together, everyone is having a good time reminiscing and talking about boomer shooters, and then some jilted ex-fan shows up to the party just to be a nigger in the punch bowl. Sam didn't recognize the name but he did recognize that the guy is a massive fa- silly billy.

That was by far the most interesting Sam stream to date. For someone who's constantly bitching about "wasting time" and keeping productive, editing streams seem to be the perfect compromise. I found it fun to follow along with the work flow, and he actually seemed pretty engaged. Maybe it's just me though, since I'm into that kinda stuff. All the zooms in chat seemed bored out of their skulls. Must be a blast to watch him sit there, eat Greek food, and fart out a one-word response to some 17-year-old's shitty sketch idea.

I think Sam hires someone when he has some really menial and time-consuming task that needs to get done and he wants to pass it off to someone else so he can focus on whatever he would rather be doing. Having him take over for Joey on podcast production might have been a test run because Joey needs more time somewhere else, but since that didn't work out they'll shuffle people around to see what Laker handle. The zoomer crew has been a reliable production team so far, so hopefully Laker will just find a niche to fill and fade into the background of the production like the others.

Laker was/is the one, single person, responsible for packaging and shipping all of Sam's merch. I don't know what he contributes on the production side, if anything.

Didn't know that. Did they just hire him when it was time to start shipping the merch? If so, then I guess they're just seeing if he can be useful somewhere else in the operation. If nothing else works out for him, then I guess he'll be out of a job when they're done shipping the merch.
