SAW X - This time, it's personal.

More like Saw Why

More like: "I wish I SAW something else".

More like SAW a Big Pile of Dogshit! This movie is a shitload of fuck! It's diarrhea comin' outta my dick! I'd rather have Jigsaw stick a housekey up a roadkilled possum's ass than to watch another cowafucking piece of dogshit ever again!

I like the series (most of them at least) but considering they had already set up a successor Jigsaw in the last one only to go back to John, they have no confidence in it at all and it will die when Tobin Bell does

To be fair to this particular movie though, the character of John Kramer and his story is the second best part of the series after the traps themselves, so ill be watching it

I thought this was a prequel to part 1 but I think one of the other movies was supposed to be a prequel. So, this is supposed to be, in what may be the first but some asshole will appear and "achtually" me but an INTERQUEl. It's set between parts 1 and 2 which is definitely not confusing...

It's more Saw. Chris Rock isn't in it. Tobin Bell is great. It's more of the same. No complaints for Saw fans. But I am amused that Shawnee Smith is 54 and supposed to look like her early/mid 20's self in this flick. You just imagine some exec going "Should we spend the money to CGI de-age her?" Before another guy goes "Nah! No one will notice!"

It works for 80-year-old Tobin Bell because John Kramer is supposed to have cancer so the shittier he looks the more appropriate it is for his character.

My sperging on the movies. Note: I saw the first 3 flicks in the theater and after that it was torrents.

Part 1. Very good. Very impressive for a relatively low budget film that cost about a million and shot in 2 weeks. But, Se7en is better. Because it's fucking Se7en. But part 1 earns a silver medal compared to Se7en's gold.

Part 2. It's okay. The gore began escalating but it wasn't entirely about the gore just yet. Good twist but kind of a fluff sequel.

Part 3. This is the one that went for the gore and ramped that up. I checked out at this movie because the plot just became a clusterfuck and the police procedural got stale. There's some good shit here particularly with the vengeful father. So, better than 2 but not as good as the 1st.

I don't really remember 4 and 5. But I know this introduced the detective Hoffman as another apprentice and it's a cool idea to cut off Tobin Bell's face and use it as a mask.

Part 6 is the healtcare one and probably one of the most entertaining movies. I'd rank it above part 3 but none of the others are as good as the 1st. The opening with the fat guy cutting off pieces of his gut while the black chick freaks out and hacks off her arm is dark comedy/gore genius -it's like a gag oldschool Peter Jackson would think up.

Part 7 is the 3D one and the plot is complete nonsense. The guy from Princess Bride is back and SURPRISE he was another apprentice. The gory setpieces are insane and very entertaining. Recommended.

Jigsaw sucked and I never finished it.

Spiral sucked even harder and it's easily the worst film in the series. Chris Rock is a funny guy but a shitty actor and was COLOSSALY miscast here as a tough cop.

I only saw 1, 2, and 3. Saw as a franchise always felt more forced than F13, Halloween, etc to me. I can appreciate the traps and ingenuity of them but after three movies it got old. Nothing against Tobin Bell but he could have stopped doing these after 1 and nothing would have been lost.

Probably the same guy who said, "Put the main theme of the franchise in the trailer? Nah! Let's put in a hit 70s song that doesn't appeal to the target audience."

I still stand my point on the sixth movie, it's still my personal favorite in the Saw movies, with 2 coming in a close second. As for Tobin Bell, he's still great as Jigsaw/Billy. He didn't appear in Spiral, but that's because it was meant to be part of the Saw universe but only having him referenced.

I think most horror movies, such as Saw, F13, Nightmare, The Exorcist, Hannibal, Halloween, Texas Chainsaw, Scream, Final Destination, The Ring, The Purge, Alien/Predator, etc. have been dealing with the same exact shit, having more sequels before the milk is dry, and this is going double with other IPs these days.

I think it was a situation where a Saw 2 would have been made with or without him and he thought he may as well do it. It was the smartest decision he made.

There’s already a horror megathread, where we can discuss that shit without pleb faggots telling us they don’t like horror movies so they can keep jerking off to anime or whatever.
A bunch of schizo spergs who have their rent free minds that don't like anything except for tranime goyslop shit are not gonna give a rat's ass about actual good threads here on the Farms. It's retarded, but I do love me some horror, and I discuss a lot on the /horror/ megathread.

Having that said, a Saw X thread is kinda necessary(?) because the movie is coming out, even if it does look like shit
