I agree with you for the most part.

Compare, say, Sophia Narwitz to Brianna Wu. Both MTF trans people. One seems cool (IMO) and has their head screwed on. The other is not cool at all, is narcissistic as fuck, and seems batshit crazy.

The problem the troon community has is that, to me at least, the "Wu" side outnumbers the "Narwitz" side massively, so at that point, you can't help but be swayed by observed behaviour of the perceived majority.

Yeah it wasn't quite as bad as it was sold to us. Winds peaked around 45mph/100km where I am on the mainland. Power was out for a short time only.

I understand some parts of the island hit 177km/h or over 100mph and I would hate to have been those poor fuckers.

Well, this thread is perfect, better than having to make a new one just for this.
I want to express my thanks.

My thoughts regarding Kiwi Farms, that the place is vastly misunderstood and overhated by the internet, were proven true with my time here. It has only been two months, yet I always come back here for laughs, news and to try to motivate others where I have even a modicum of experience. I've also received plenty of support, directly or indirectly. It takes someone who is aware of what internet used to be to see that behind all the "slurs" are genuinely great and kind people who only want to see someone suffer when that someone first expresses said feelings towards them.

I may ultimately not contribute much, and for that I apologize - it's very unlikely that I'll ever document a lolcow or a group's activities - but I genuinely respect everyone going through the painstaking process of having to dig through a lot of media, ranging from boring to so nasty one would want to vomit on sight. You're all the best and I hope your life is nothing short of fulfilling, full of love and joy.

Any terrible things are only as devastating to us as their capability to weigh us down. So long as we keep getting up from each failure, tragedy or illness, we become stronger. We all go through these things, and judging by the fact that a lot of people are still here, in this very moment we're all the strongest we've ever been. May that strength carry us onward to a better tomorrow. Let degeneracy take a fatal blow this year.
