I'm pretty sure he's said that he can hypnotize people who believe this. It was probably in that one chapter where he explained how the four hour course changed his entire life by revealing the secrets of the universe.

Btw I got one last theory on why Scott did this, he doesn't want Dilbert to be corrupted. Chances are whoever inherits the rights to Dilbert when Scott is gone would have done the same shit Tolkein's estate did when Christopher Tolkein died and sold it off to be whored out. Dilbert is now an indie comic and it's gonna die with Scott. And that is seriously the coolest positive to cancel culture.

Makes me wish Bill Watterson would utter an N-Bomb so Calvin and Hobbes will stay unmolested when he dies. Likewise I hope Trey Parker and Matt Stone made it clear in their last contracts South Park only exists with them in charge.

This especially means that Dilbert will never be taken over any artist, and certainly not a leftist artist. I’m reminded of Heart of The City. For those unfamiliar, Heart of The City is a comic strip that debuted in 1998 and was about a young girl named Heart. It was created by Mark Tatulli, who would go on to create the Liō strip and a bunch of graphic novels. In 2019, Tatulli announced that he would retire HoTC to focus on Liō and the graphic novels. The comic should’ve ended permanently, but Andrews McMeel Syndicate searched for an artist to replace him. They found a CalArts artist named Steenz to take over the strip and now it looks completely unrecognizable from what it looked like when Tatulli drew it. Maybe if Tatulli had said something controversial, Andrew McMeel would have dropped him and HoTC wouldn’t have been ruined by the new artist.

I'm not a UFO nut, but I find it annoying how Scott says with absolute certainty there are NO ALIENS IN THE UNIVERSE at all.

What does he base this on? That the Simulation wouldn't make other worlds that would never interact with us, so they must not exist since he believes the whole universe is a simulation. I'd point out that there was practically no contact between the old and New World before 1492, but Scott would just say the simulation generates "history on demand" (I've already explained why that would take up more processing power not less) so there was never any such year as 1492 or any year before it, we were just programmed thinking there was ever a time the old and New World had no contact.

For Scott's Simulation religion, it's even more important that there are no aliens than it is even for other religions like Christianity and Islam. The biggest problem with the idea is that no computer could ever replicate the whole observable universe from billions of galaxies of billions of stars down to every quantum particle, so the Simulation must only give us the illusion of there being the rest of the universe to make us think it's real. If aliens existed, that would mean there really is something outside ourselves so the whole universe wasn't all made just for us.

Scott has also attempted to use the Speed of Light as evidence of the Simulation keeping us contained within bounds of the game (even though Theory of Relativity actually makes it MORE possible to reach other worlds in human lifespans than Newtonian physics), so again, if there were such a thing as other worlds lightyears away or craft from other worlds exceeding the speed of light, it would threaten his faith in his Simulation religion.

And, like any other religion, Scott likes to boast about how low the odds of life evolving are, thus the world must have been intelligently designed by his Simulation God. If life was common enough to be found elsewhere in the universe, that would also threaten his faith in intelligent design, which he attributes to his Simulation God.

Steenz wouldn’t have gotten such backlash if she started her own strip. But piggybacking on Tatulli’s strip will always make people compare her work to Tatulli’s work, and it just isn’t the same.

Before becoming the new artist, Steenz complained about how lily-white the strip was, especially for urban Philadelphia, where the setting of the strip is. I wonder what she thinks about Calvin and Hobbes, considering what all the human characters are. But hopefully nobody comes along and ruins THAT strip.

Scott Adams has made his trade since 2016 in predicting all outcomes at the same time. I don't understand why anyone takes him seriously anymore.
