SCP Foundation - Creepypasta with roid rage - now ITT: SCP fans

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
This is why I think every forum online probably needs to have some kind of CEO/boss figure owning it and/or in charge of it. Someone who can press the "Nuke Everything" button and start over if it looks like the mods are shitting it up with their politics. It'd be nice to have a fan community that functions as a group of people with a shared interest, but there are too many cultists out there who want to turn everything into an engine for spreading their dogma. It's just too easy for them to worm their way into a community and, like grey goo slowly transforming a planet into itself, slowly take over the original functions and interests of the group and turn it towards their own functions and interests.

FAIR WARNING: THIS POST IS VERY, VERY LONG

Hello, I don’t really like using this website but I want to take the opportunity to warn people about Cyantreuse/Cyril/SexyContainmentProcedures/Agent Trauss, a genuinely dangerous member of the SCP community who’s currently being exposed on Twitter.

As of writing, Cyantreuse is permanently banned from the SCP Wiki for reasons kept vague by the admins, with a chance to appeal his ban sometime in January of 2020: http://05command.wikidot.com/forum/t-10084571
(archive, update)

In order to explain the fucked up things Cyan has done, it’s first important to understand who exactly he is. Cyantreuse has a very serious case of obsession with the SCP Foundation, and it is well documented, to the point that it could be considered his waking life. (This is something that he denies: https://sexycontainmentprocedures.t...o-there-is-no-obsession-and-crash-effect-that) (archive, update). Although not all of Cyan’s social media accounts are around anymore, his long history of issues are readily available on his Tumblr blog, which is still public to this day. Let’s go over some things:

  1. He has 4 SCP-themed tattoos. Here’s his most recent: https://www.reddit.com/r/SCP/comments/b52n78/im_slowly_building_an_scp_universe_sleeve_and_i/ (archive, update)
  2. He has an Etsy shop where he sells SCP merch: https://www.etsy.com/shop/ketercrafts (archive)
  3. (Something important to note about his store - he confessed to quitting a *real life job* to focus on SCP stuff: https://sexycontainmentprocedures.t...027/v1als-sexycontainmentprocedures-v1als-the) (archive, update)
  4. Not only does he frequently do SCP cosplay, but he has decorated his car to look like an in-universe SCP response vehicle: https://sexycontainmentprocedures.t...halloween-is-fun-because-its-the-only-day-its (archive, update)
If none of this has convinced you, there are countless other Tumblr posts he’s made where he explains in detail how SCP has taken over his life, or otherwise provides a gateway into his unhealthy mentality:
https://sexycontainmentprocedures.t...this-evening-i-found-out-that-my-coworker-who (archive, update)
https://sexycontainmentprocedures.t...xycontainmentprocedures-spent-2-hours-on-this (archive)
https://sexycontainmentprocedures.t...our-scp-foundation-agent-cares-about-you-very (archive, update)
https://sexycontainmentprocedures.t...ll-satellite-fandom-ppl-will-never-understand (archive, update)

Something that’s probably important to note at this point - Cyan has confessed several times that he’s been diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder and has taken steps to improve himself. Whether or not this is truthful is up to you: https://sexycontainmentprocedures.t...stop-acting-like-the-fact-youre-into-bdsm-and
(archive, update)
---------

So, now that we have all that out of the way, let’s start getting into the real problems. What happens when a man turns a hobby writing website and his relationships with the people in it into his entire life? A lot of bad things. Cyan’s issues with aggression, hateful behavior, and harassment are also well-documented. Let’s jump back over to O5 Command, the SCP Wiki’s public staff site for open discussions.

Oh dear…. Cyan wasn’t exactly receiving glowing reviews when he was a staff member. In fact, it seems a lot of people had something to say about his temper: http://05command.wikidot.com/forum/t-3446432 (archive, update)

But how did he interact with individual staff members, you ask? Not much better.
http://05command.wikidot.com/forum/t-2039774#post-3611141 (archive)
http://05command.wikidot.com/forum/t-3997908 (archive, update)

Unfortunately, it seems a bunch of drama caught up with him at one point and he was removed from staff. How’d that happen? It’s a long story, and one that would distract from the rest of this already massive post. But I’d say it’s worth looking into for those of you who are *really* curious: http://05command.wikidot.com/forum/t-2068010 (thread was deleted, no archive)

But hey, these are just the examples with an official seal slapped on them. If I wanted to track down every example of Cyantreuse starting shit with people online, I’d probably have to spend a week writing this.

-------------

At this point, you’re probably wondering something. I mentioned in the beginning of this post that I believe Cyan to be a dangerous person. While the behavior I’ve described here isn’t exactly positive, it’s not an indication that this person is capable of causing serious harm. Well, settle in. It’s time to get to the reason I’m actually taking the time to make this long-ass post, because it’s real fucking ugly.

On July 29th, several Twitter posts were made calling him out. For brevity’s sake, these two seem to be important:

(EDIT: I was requested to remove direct links to the Twitter posts, so I'm replacing them with screenshots. If you want to find the posts yourself, it should be fairly easy to do if you intend to retweet them.)

These are some pretty heavy accusations. Let it be said that, although I and many others will not reveal the names of the victims for the sake of their privacy, nor do I personally know all of them, I believe these accusations to be nothing but truthful. Cyantreuse is an abuser, an intimidator, a manipulator, a harasser, and a threat to the SCP community as a whole. Let’s see if I can convince you why.

-------------

The name “sexycontainmentprocedures.tumblr.com” probably gave it away, but Cyantreuse is a very openly sexual person. In fact, he’s already done my work for me. Here’s his confession that he does, in fact, use the SCP fandom as a means to acquire real life sexual partners and has been doing so for quite a while:
https://sexycontainmentprocedures.t...love-the-scp-fandom-bc-id-be-single-otherwise (archive, update)
https://sexycontainmentprocedures.t...first-thought-it-was-pretty-wild-that-most-of (archive, update)

These posts become quite concerning when contrasted with the Twitter posts I just linked, but not exactly damning, nor conclusive evidence. Let’s keep going.

------------

Cyantreuse is very heavily into BDSM. This is a lifestyle choice that he is extremely open about and will defend to the teeth. For example: http://05command.wikidot.com/forum/t-2317999 (archive)

Not only has he made this an extensive part of his sex life, but sexual themes reflect pretty strongly in Cyan’s own SCP Wiki writing. Some of it is fairly innocent. See the following:
http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-3101 (archive) (“Contain Me Harder” - A text-based anomaly goes on a sexting streak.)
http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-2678 (archive, update) (“The Vorehole” - Name says everything.)
http://www.scp-wiki.net/breach-my-containment-baby (archive) (It’s a pornfic.)

Unfortunately, some of his other SCP writing contains subject matter that the kids these days would call “problematic.”

By far the biggest offender is “Sex, Drugs, Money”, a tale that’s supposed to give a gritty, modern day view of what the internal politics of the SCP Foundation could be like. There are a LOT of issues with this story, but let’s focus on the “Sex” part of the title: http://www.scp-wiki.net/sex-drugs-money (archive)

This story revolves heavily around a character named “Reggie”, a guard employed by the SCP Foundation. Reggie is into BDSM, and… uh oh! He was caught on CCTV having kinky sex with Jasper, a human anomaly, dozens of times, and now those pesky people from the Ethics Committee are accusing him of raping a prisoner he had complete power over! They could never understand consensual BDSM! Unfortunately, all of this information has been made public. Poor, innocent Reggie gets confronted by his mom when he gets home, and he decides to go into hiding for a while. Fortunately, Agent Trauss, an SCP operative who’s totally not Cyan’s self insert shows up to give him a place to stay for a while. What a cool guy. But he has to keep going to work, and while he’s gone, Reggie decides to do a quick Google search for his name. He finds everything. Struck by despair, he commits suicide by overdose, and the tale ends with Trauss and co. desperately rushing him to safety. It’s too bad. Things would have been so much better if those evil higher ups realized that Jasper was the one who seduced him!

Ok, so maybe this was a bit of a blunder for Cyan. But don’t worry, he has a new tale out. It’s called “The Ethics Committee’s Guide to Human Anomalies”, and it’s very helpful for the aspiring SCP agent who wants to know the best way to take a human into custody. (Ignore the link to SDM in there, yeah?) http://www.scp-wiki.net/ethics-guide (archive, update)

The parts about taking children into custody are a bit weird but this is all well and goo- ...oh. What’s that in the section about DSF syndrome? Something about human anomalies being at risk from developing symptoms similar to Stockholm Syndrome? Let’s take a look.

  • Expressing friendliness toward personnel that could be described as abnormally affectionate or 'clingy' behavior.
  • A fixation on the notion of removing their anomalous effects, prioritized over their mental and physical health.
  • Expressing that they view the Foundation as more important than they are.
  • Treating personnel as equal representatives of the Foundation as a whole rather than as specialists or individuals, and speaking to personnel with language that clearly conveys this generalization.
  • Making inappropriate advances toward or offers for personnel, especially of an intimate nature, and especially if actions are offered in exchange for treatment that would take place regardless (such as receiving food).

Oh. I’m sorry, is this supposed to be something that normal people do?

-------------

Still not convinced? That’s ok, you’ve heard plenty from me. Let’s see what Cyantreuse has to say about his own behavior and ban: https://sexycontainmentprocedures.t...75107/meesa-been-a-dipshit-perry-the-platypus (archive, update)

It goes into a lot of stuff pretty deeply. Rather uncharacteristically for a Cyan post, he admits to having a problem getting into drama. That’s refreshing. But… surely he doesn’t think that “internet drama” was his only real issue, right? …..right?

https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/505866956088410127/606413357670596609/unknown.png (archive, update)
https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/505866956088410127/606413384635777043/unknown.png (archive, update)

Look. I think I’m speaking for everyone here when I say SCP staff are pretty shit at what they do. But for all the horrid stuff they’ve done over the years, it should be pretty damn obvious that they don’t permanently ban people without warning for being sarcastic on Tumblr, especially not someone who’s literally been behaving this way for years. Sounds like you have something to hide, Cyan.

This is a lot of info to take in, which is awesome. But please archive everything you've just posted, just in case.

I'll think about it. I received some concerned private messages about this from someone who seems to have been involved, so I want to be a bit conservative with the information until further notice. On top of that, it's to my understanding that Cy primarily used his Tumblr blog as a method of intimidating people he disliked, since he was popular there. If he has most of his former followers remaining, I wouldn't be opposed to seeing the account deleted if it means people will be safe.

(EDIT: For the record, I don't want to treat this like a carnival show. Cyantreuse is a scary person and it's in no one's best interest to attempt to contact him. What's most important to me is spreading this information so all the people who don't know can avoid him.)

My personal opinion on the RPC Authority is a bit biased considering I am a part of their community, With that said, they are growing in terms of being good writers and being an accepting community. They have been slowly but surely chipping away any remnants of SCP and developing a style that is their own. This is most reflective on their Hazards System and their Object Class system, which offers so much autistic freedom on classifying ones' RPC that it is becoming an Autistic Anomalous Candy Store. They're also been doing Events, which allow writers to flex their creative muscles a bit in controlled scenarios. I advise giving them another look considering much has changed since they have first started.

Have they stopped constantly wanking their hate boners for SCP? It got to the point where I left the discord because it was nothing but a wankfest 24/7.

They haven't, in fact they browse this thread to also wank to us when we mention them lol.

And about Cyan, that is horrifying, makes you wonder what other people on their mod staff are hiding as well as the ones in other anomaly writer communities (RPC and the like).

Massive thanks to you for posting this, anon. No matter how hard I tried I couldn't find any traces of Cyan's old creepy NSFW writing, so I'm glad to see at least one person saved something.

I apologize to the people watching this thread that I cannot provide more concrete evidence at the moment. I've been trying to find a way to do it that wouldn't put the people he targeted in private at risk. Cyan has a very long history of attempting to silence any and all criticism of his character, and more troublingly, tends to take any notion that he has hurt someone as a personal attack.

This would not be as much of a concern to me if Cyan did not still act like an important figure in the SCP community. His reddit account is pretty strong evidence of this. https://www.reddit.com/user/Agent_Trauss (archive, update)

I do find its contents a bit disturbing. I find it distasteful that he is allowed to post pictures of himself on the SCP subreddit and I don't like the authoritative tone he uses when responding to SCP-related posts.

My biggest point of concern is a painting he posted a couple of months back. I don't want to go into too much detail about it, but it's very blatantly about his SCP drama and I do not like to see him playing the victim in this manner. Otherwise, most of his posts are pretty standard cringe: https://www.reddit.com/r/Art/comments/blsvel/ego_death_for_a_fool_me_acrylic_2019/ (archive)

ego death for a fool.jpg

It looks like someone already brought up the popular NSFW IRC chat Site-12 earlier in this thread, so I don't mind saying that, to my knowledge, Cyantreuse frequented it and several other IRC chatrooms, both SFW and NSFW. Also to my knowledge, it seems that Cyan too made sexual plans with at least one person who was a minor, and there may have been people who witnessed this in person. In this case I find it worrying that at least one of the Discord servers he's in allows him to frequently use the roleplay chats (something I do not have access to) knowing that the SCP fandom has a large number of minors in it, but I will do my best to reserve judgement for now.

(archive)

You know, you'd think that someone who's had the police called on him before, fake reports or no, would think twice about this.

The kiwifarms are more like a zoo where it's against the rules to bang on the glass than a carnival.

Just realized I've been reading SCP off and on for a decade now.
People still write good, interesting, and sometimes amusing SCPs.
However there sure are a lot more spergs with a political agenda, identity politics, and/or that shitty millenial way of writing. (Where they swear a lot or get mad at dad or their boss and then sulk.)
Not kidding about that last one, check out this shit scp-4205. It's so up it's own ass with this glitchy computer format and logs from someone that sounds like a grumpy teenager.
Really glad the rainbow logo is now a manual thing. I know an entry is gonna be poor when the author switches that ugly thing on.

Shouldn't the admin be taking that role? I've seen some admins who literally just do all the server shit and seemingly don't have any involvement with the communities on their own sites but they literally hold the plug to everything. How can they not step up like that?

Considering the whole situation regarding Cyan , this also extends to the whole of the SCP Foundation. This shit's been going around for quite a long time given some of the people I've talked to. Any conceivable evidence that has ever been provided will swiftly get swept under the rug by the staff and they will make no attempts to investigate or even properly treat the subject matter with consideration. Some of these people have been abused by people like Cyan and it is a lot worse than you expect. Mostly because the admins make sure to cover it all up and ban anyone that'd even speak out about it. This is a website that prides itself off of hard-left libertarian ideals and will publicly decry others and are completely authoritarian with what is or isn't allowed, what is or isn't supposed to be said. And frankly, this is just a public cover.

My mother always had this saying; the one who is quick to accuse is often a guilty person himself. Anyone at SCP, be it moderators, admins, dick suckers that perpetuate the personality cult, will go around accusing people of being sexist or racist or whatever because if they appeal to the public eye, they will have this indomitable shield of public opinion that will always favor them over anyone who is willing to step out of the circle to accuse them for shit they have allowed to happen. Its pure psychological manipulation at its finest. Brainwash the public into thinking you are this force of social justice and all that is good and you don't even need a reason to ban someone without even having anyone bother to ask why. Its like California; pretty on the outside, disgusting on the inside.

If SCP is Hollywood and its writers and admins are celebreties, then Cyantheuse is the motherfucking Harvey Weinstein of SCP.

In a very surprising turn of events, it looks like this is the last post I or anyone else will need to make about Cyantreuse.

http://05command.wikidot.com/forum/t-10084571/disciplinary-cyril (archive, update)

The recent drama forced their hand, I suppose. It's now public knowledge that Cyan is a repeat domestic/relationship abuser, on top of the more publicly apparent stuff. This makes my job a lot easier, and will no doubt provide solace to the victims and all the other people he's targeted over the years. As always, please continue to avoid Cyan. He is no less dangerous now that SCP staff have done the right thing.

Most likely it is an attempt to cut their losses and throw them under the bus. Don't give SCP too much credit.

I've been nostalgicly listening to various SCP content regurgitators, and was wondering if anyone critically covers SCPs, rather than favorably.

Just listened to SCP-184 being reconned into SCP-001, with an awful story of a pangalactic space exploration and a stupid one where the SCP kills and eats babies and castrates D-class to contain an all powerful invading 'god'. I'd kinda enjoy hearing someone cover this drivel in a light I'd more agree with.

Hard To Say. The best one I can think of, is the Fear Fiction Podcast: They usually read horror stories for fun and tear them apart for comedy.
