SCP Foundation - Creepypasta with roid rage - now ITT: SCP fans

They now have they/them pronouns. Well, atleast what the wayback machine shows me.

Most Recent twitter, all the tweets where wiped as far back as April. Also they go by Dani now, this could all be old news. But I think there is a high probability that they where at some point non-binary or either a transfolk.

Actually, I think non-binary is 98% accurate.

Watched a few videos about SCP and it feels pretty cringy. Like there is an attempt to make a narrative but no one owns it so no canon narrative will ever be anyways.
Lots of doomsday subjects to the point of questioning how the world isn't over yet.
It's more fun when it's just a collection of cryptids.
The best SCPs are always the ones that are short but leave you with tons of thoughts after reading it.

Keep getting recommendations for scp reading, but not even readings for classic scps. Coverage of shit 3000 series and after, including awful tryhard bs like the voice behind me. I get that modern scp has a wider reach but I don't necessarily believe videos on the newer stuff are doing better. The numbers don't seem to correlate with that. What is the actual scale of the scp userbase? Because it sure seems like a lot of stuff is still made by a handful of old writers like kaktus.

Anomaly Classification System (ACS) is crackers. I go to read an article, and get a header full of made up words. Are they classifications, or just the author banging their keyboard?

It's a wider issue I feel where some newer articles are so full of references to other SCP articles, they're basically unreadable. I tried to read a couple of newer articles, and gave up because I really can't be fucked to unpick a document where half of it's just links. Ree.

Again, if I were a scientist getting mauled by a hyper murder monkey SCP, I would want to get to the containment procedures and description IMMEDIATELY and not go through some overly verbose mumbo-jumbo.

SCP number > 1000 = SHIT.
For me there's still decent quality every few scps up into the 3000 series, then most of what I've seen afterwards completely falls off. "The voice behind me" or whatever it's called still gives me a bad taste in my mouth. I'm sure there's shittier scps writing wise but the concept of this one just completely ruins it. There's a lot like that 3000 up.

I used to quite like SCP years back, I lost interest when it was taken over by troons. Seems every place theyre allowed to start nesting they infest and scheme until they end up as mods and then they start changing what made the site fun to start with to suit them. They did it to Something Awful and everyother place theyve been allowed.
I saw the writing on the wall and forgot about it and low and behold theyve turned it to shit like they do everywhere.
The real kicker was when they started to fuck with old entries to make them more troon friendly. I havent seen anything good there for years, and its a shame because SCP used to be great.
Its a fucking joke now.
Troons ruin everything. I dont know why people dont learn.
Thats why they hate us because we show them exactly the respect and tolerance they deserve.
This thread has been quite the read so far lol.
I didnt realize how fucked the SCP had become, I knew it went to shit but fucking lol.
Should have kept the men in dresses out from the start

Good writers start on the SCP. Then they move on. Who stays behind? Decent and meh writers. Who comes in? People decent and meh writers like.

Good writers make their own properties, realizing they can monotize their creative talents. Some stay or dip in and out, but they'll see the writing on the wall just like you or get bored of their fandom and move on.

People who move on usually have lives. People who stay don't always have lives. Terminally online means more likely to stay. People who are on for long periods tend to gain seniority and power if they accept it. Terminally online are more likely to be mentally ill or have a disorder like autism. This group is the most of all nerds impacted by the genderwave.

So long time fans with time to maintain a site for free for long periods of time = depression/anxiety + autism = troons. This is particularly true for community run things, including modding games. We're in hell because people move on and those who don't are susceptible to cult behavior.
