When a possible host to SCP-324468 is identified, a blind D-class is to enter the room and send the host SCP-324468 through online social media. Staff assigned to SCP-324468 are to identify potential hosts for SCP-324468 through online social media outlets. All instances of SCP-324468-1 will have an account set up on SCP-324468-2, a wikidot housing all documents produced by SCP-324468-1 instances, immediately upon viewing SCP-324468.

Articles produced by SCP-324468-1 are not anomalous and do not spread SCP-324468. However, staff that have read the articles note that they tend to be of a poor quality, often descending into long running narratives full of self-insert characters, early 21st century American left-wing political rants, and would be insufficient to provide staff with enough information to contain actual SCPs.

tl;dr: It's the logo of an SCP site, draped in pride flag colors. Any attempt at changing the logo, including (especially) altering or removing the pride stripes, causes all SCP personnel to not recognize the logo as official.

This might be one of the worst articles I've read in a long time, and this is coming from the sort of masochist who actually reads through new SCP pages, in 2023.

I am not surprised or even disappointed anymore. I am just dejected. Demoralized, even. This is awful. This is like a parody of what nu-SCP is like. It feels like a joke written by some right-wing RPC sperg in 2018. But no, this is real.

What a fucking shitshow.

EDIT: As a side note, I recently found the ED article on SCP. It's surprisingly good for a modern ED page, really hits the nail on the head when it comes to the problems with modern SCP.

The guy's page is incredible. Much of it is that massive wall of him smugly patting himself on the back about what a great and awesome writer he is, complete with these gay infoboxes about the pages he's written. They contain very important information about the SCPs, such as:

"Object lesson"? Wasn't the point of SCPs that they're inexplicable and often nonsensical, which is what makes them scary and interesting? But no, we're doing deep and meaningful writing here, which is why a bloated page about a mysteriously clogged toilet or whatever must have a Very Important philosophical theme. Oh, and they all need wacky quippy one-liners, too, like in our favourite Marvel movies.

I thought the rows of pictures at the bottom were just random decoration, but it turns out they all represent different containment classes. It really makes you yearn for the days when the worst thing were the edgelords with their spooky special Keter anomalies. Now you have an expanding garble of words whose only apparent purpose is to be opaque but important-sounding. "Secondary class Damballah"? "Disruption class Keneq"? I don't even know.

And of course they have Wikipedia-like achievement badges, liberally doused with rainbow colours. Can't go without an extra bit of ego padding.

This page is really good for one thing, though. If someone ever asks you about the current state of SCP, just show them this. It really says it all.

don't think it was that bad, even without it you'll inevitable get people who want to add more which is fine if curbed accordingly and properly framed. 093 works because it's still just an expedition log with enough room for your imagination. wouldn't say it was an issue up until 2000+ where writing in general took a nosedive, before that stuff like that was still kinda rare or used in non-scp articles. before it became the rainbow-colored human-centipede clique rimming each other's talentless writing where votes still meant something it suppressed a lot of that.

personally the "my scp is a super special dude that's super deadly but can't be killed" were far more annoying imo. it wasn't just a weird object with some weird/interesting traits, just someone's slasherfic (for me the whole point is that SCPs can't be really explained, something sentient are far more difficult to get right).

SCP-093 doesn't deserve all of the blame. The obvious 093 copycats are annoying, but they were mostly confined to 2000-4000. The real problem of nu-SCP is that the self-serious cocksuckers who took over the wiki are uncreative squareheads that love dispensing verbiage just for the sake of it. The wiki would've gone down the same path regardless of 093's influence.

This thread has seen plenty of negativity. How about some :optimistic: ? Just because the SCP wiki retard brigade flooded the website with boring garbage, that doesn't mean that the few gems that do squeak in deserve to be buried under a pile of horseshit.

Decided to try my "hand" at reading this one first (which is a lie, I read the Endless Shrimp first) because I was a bit curious, the name sounded simple in comparison to the others. What I got was something so confusing yet weirdly enough made sense in the end?? I won't spoil it, you just gotta read it for yourself.

Overall? I liked it! I see why it's your favorite. :optimistic:

SCP-5000 - I've mentioned this before, it's unfortunately an example of a story disguised as an object. Nonetheless they did a good job of it by actually leaving shit as a mystery. (For that reason, I consider this to be the worst Tale on the site since it ruins 5000.)

SCP-4903 - Immortality as a horror concept. Not a new idea per se, but I liked how it was done in this case. Could probably have done without the last two addenda, particularly if the point was to let him die, they could've just not restarted his heart. I consider 7179 to be a knockoff that hams things up too much.

SCP-6096 - No Hume levels, no metaphysical bullshit. Just a murder monster with a particular effect.

SCP-4999 - One of the few "wholesome" SCPs that I didn't find cringy.

Trying to explain the horror of SCP-5000 (among many others) is pretty much the worst thing you could do for something of it's nature in my opinion.
