I honestly feel like any media, even the beloved SCP foundation, after changing hands from 4chan.
I feel like you skipped a word or two in that sentence, either that or I am stupid.
When I read up SCPs, I usually stick to <3000 articles as they are less of the world-ending BS I cringe at.
If even that, most of what I found after the 1000 series (if we're being generous) started getting a bit worse in quality. Even then not all the first 1000 SCPs were stellar. Their world-ending shit is indeed cringe since there's so many. World-enders should be a main plot point, not just shit thrown out there to make your SCP sound cool.
Now there are some banger Films and videogames that came out of it for sure.
It's hard to find a shitty high production SCP film, so at least they have that going for them. The
SCP-096 one,
First Contact,
Ghost Town, really anything by Evan Royalty...in fact most of the films I do know are his lol. There's even a
SCP-3000 one (oh hey a good 3000 SCP). I've seen some good SCP animations here and there, Confinement was pretty alright before...
the incident. I actually just found
this one while getting my links, bit crunchy but the effort is there. And
this one looks interesting though I haven't watched it completely. Also found this
playlist, this was actually the first SCP animation I saw when it came out. There was going to be an SCP fan made "
TV show" but I haven't heard much of it. I keep posting links...oh right, the video games. Ehhhhh, those are mostly a miss. I made a post about it before that I have to get later... Containment Breach is the shit but it's showing its age, good thing it's moddable. Everything else is just eh. Ah, here it is:
Once you realize you'll get paid to do even less work than what you did for free, you'll never have to worry about anything ever again. Especially with as fanatically loyal a fanbase that is the SCP fanbase. Even more so when there's only one game like it, the other SCP games that aren't old as shit that I can think of is "Stray but SCP", some strange first person horror game, SCP: Secret Files which is more a narrative game than a game game, and SCP: 5k, that wasted so much potential. SCP:SL can cruise on by for years, and if they're ever too low on players they can release some big update and bring people back like they did back then.
Bit of an update on SCP: Secret lab, devs are furry pedophiles, game is slow on the updates because they kicked out the only non-furry non-pedophile from their dev team...least that's what I heard. Everything else is more or less the same. Didn't mention the The Stairwellone that died or its remakes/spinoffs, or the weird strategy one, really I barely heard of a lot of
these games.
