If this were written today it would have an addendum about how they put it on a post-op tranny and it refused to undo their special good kind of genital mutilation.
All I know about Rounderhouse is that they wrote what is now widely taken as Clef's "canon"; SCP-4231. Yes, I know there is no true canon, but most people pretty much take it as such.
Also they did some q&a about it way back ago, which is still up if i'm not mistaken.
I do like this stuff, but at this point I could just go to the actual videos since I doubt all 11 hours is worth listening to. Also there's even less interesting SCP than usual lately, no wonder this thread is stagnant. I just looked up SCP and either found old interesting stuff or slop, recent uploads are just slop like "hiding from SCP-096 in McDonalds." I did find this shitpost.
Behold, a SCP. Or at least what passes for one nowadays. Two gay women die in a submarine accident. There's no real anomaly, nothing horror related, but by god, you'll know they were brown lesbians. There's not even anything to screenshot, not really. It's a bunch of short dialogue scenes as the submarine slowly sinks.
Special mention:
They make sure to call it USSA (United State Space Administration) instead of Space Force, because DRUMPFFFFFFFFF!!!!!!1!!11one
The first reply in the forums? "I like gay people."
It's tagged/categorized LGBTA. Not because the anomaly has anything to do with gay people, but because IT'S BROWN LESBIANS IN SPAAAACE.

......Anyone remember when it's about containing horrors mankind not meant to know? Now it just feels like either jabbing at people they don't like or "YAY for being the disappointing genetic dead ends and overall disappointment of your family!" Fuck sakes, one SCP is just one asshole being abusive at work and making shit up...for some reason everyone just rolls with it.

For an actual SCP discussion, is the Forbiden City Convention the de facto SCP-001? The fandom seems to treat it as mostly canon. It's either that one or The Factory that are mentioned.

There are actually multiple SCP timelines, and some SCPs actually cross over between them. Some where the Factory was the creation, other when Forbidden City was the creation, still others that were the result of some "occult war" in the past.

I still prefer Clef's proposal of the Guardian of Eden. It fits as the most primordial entity concerning things being kept from humanity and a connection to the many Abrahamic Skips that marked the early Foundation lore.
This. Also SCP-001 proposals, while not as autistic as almost anything currently done, were one of the earliest sources of massive autism in the canon.

I found it the least interesting, the reliance on generic Christian knowledge makes it (and other Bible SCPs) poorer Bible-ish fanfics. Compare them to original stories with dimensional or time anomalies. Also, anyone who uses "Abrahamic" is either a Protestant or a jew who aims to use Protestant fealty. We have not had a multi-Abrahamic tale so far. It's either jews giving their version; christians giving their own; and the muslims never try it; forget yazidis, sikhs, mormons. "Pan-Abrahamic" stories are only told to validate the author's religion/culture rather than trying to understand a shared faith.

I just don't like the reliance on religion as some attempt to grant the story significance. I didn't realize the glowing angel thing with the sword was considered a widely respected 001 proposal, I always thought it was kind of cringeworthy and try-hard, like some anime shit.
Maybe it's unfair though because to me for a 001 to work it would have to have some type of meta significance to scp itself, or to the general concept of anomalies; otherwise you're left with stuff like the above, where you're grasping for significance by invoking absurd grandiose ideas about spirituality or existentialism.
Someone could argue that a meta SCP as 001 would be kind of a cop out, but would that really be so bad? I think SCP is at its worst when it's taking itself really seriously and 001 is poison in that respect, out of the ones I've seen I've hated almost all of them because they all try so hard to justify themselves as the 001, so personally I wouldn't be bothered if 001 rejected that and, in essence, just deferred to the rest of the SCPs.

I'm in the same camp, I'd be in favor of having meta stuff like 4chan or the original author of 173 be 001, or even something cheekier like the website or the reader be 001.
Pretty sure one of the 001 proposals was something like that, IIRC there was another SCP set in the same universe that was intended to be some kind of "fake" SCP made up by the Foundation as part of a project to kill or harm the reader. And how was it going to do this?
A shitty jumpscare.
Yeah, should probably have mentioned that it was a later series SCP.
"Jumpscares" done right can add to the article a bit, depends. SCP-035's article's image is actually a gif, it would change from tragedy to comedy or vice versa, nothing crazy but can make people go "wtf" for a second. The old one at least, the new one is also a gif so it might do that too but I'm not going to wait. SCP-3935 had an audio "jumpscare" I believe, the article says that people in the school can hear a "hello" in their right ear, reading the article long enough and you'll hear it too. Scp-895 has a "live feed" gif that actually changes like the article says it does, has a few variations I believe.
This SCP was included in Containment Breach Ultimate Edition but is kind of shit, just random creepy images and then death.
Might be more, but yeah it depends entirely on how it's done.

I think the fella meant SCP-5999. The one with the jumpscare that they had to rejigger because of complaints. It's basically nonsensical stories with the connecting chain being the phrase "This is where I died." and then they pull a jumpscare at the end because apparently it's meant to kill the reader because one of the 001 proposals is that they found out that the universe is run by horror writers. Well..grain of salt there about "horror" writers.

Essentially this is a sequel to SCP 001 Swann's Proposal. At the end of Swann's proposal it is revealed that the foundation knows about their authors and has decided to kill them using a memetic kill agent. SCP 5999 is that kill agent. Each of the sections are cliche horror stories designed to pull in the reader and all hide an underlying mystery to make you keep reading. Each of the reports are written by meta characters (Swann, Researcher Talloran, Smalls, etc.). The final jump scare is powerful entity designed to kill the reader.
