This is because the people who try to make everything political (trannies and retarded leftists) are unable to accept or hear commentary from the other side; ideological fanaticism is a term that I would use to descibe how they are. This leads to them also confusing actual media literacy with shoehorning in completely unrelated issues and ideas that might even contradict with the authors intent.

I genuinely think the ideological fanaticism is a problem with both sides and not just the left. On the left they'll lose their shit if you criticized kamala or biden and on the right they'd lose their shit if you criticize elon or charlie kirk. Right now I have seen people on the right take any kind of criticism of kirk as an endorsement of his murder. Not everyone but I have seen it. The left does the same thing. Critical thinking and common sense just leaves the building completely when politics is involved. It's honestly so tiring and I think both sides are just fake and gay.

The problem is that we have seen SO MANY PEOPLE celebrating Kirk's murder as well as spreading blatantly false information about him. So a lot of the criticism of Kirk is just flat-out wrong, or else we are jumpy because we are used to seeing constant celebration of his death or people blatantly lying about him (i.e. AOC, Ilhan Omar). We're sick of it. We know now that a not-insignificant number of people actively want us dead.

But I agree that there is definitely a lot of stupidity on both sides.

People are overly emotional and refuse to abide by realpolitik or even entertain the idea of understanding it.
Moralfagging ruins writing because it usually gets you self inserty main characters that are always right and function as the moral north pole.

Anybody saying kirk deserved it is a nutter. Even if criticism is wrong I think people need to at the very least call out these endorsing the murder. You can think he's a piece of shit all you want but saying he deserved it is completely different and there's not enough criticism over people endorsing murder. I don't fit onto either side nor do I want though because I can criticize one thing and someone is gonna want me dead just for criticism. Maybe the solution is making politics illegal or something ridiculous like that.

Funny, because at this point this is how I imagine the researchers to look at this point. There is a good story I could write about an anomalous object making the scientists grow more and more insane until they start chopping off their own dicks and wearing drag and leather to work, but it would never be published on the site.
