Even if someone just had an off day or something or had things going on in their private lives, they deserve to have this fuck up show up and harass them "for the lulz"? I'll reiterate that he's just as bad as those YouTube prank channels like Jack Vale.

Don't understand the logic.

I'm out though, don't want anymore back and forths about this worthless pile.
Having a shitty day doesn't excuse not taking 30 seconds to put back the cart. This is a perfectly petty punishment for an equally petty act. They can always just ignore him and drive away.

If my 97 year old grandmother can return her cart at the height of summer, you can. It's one of my pet peeves (especially when people leave them in the middle of parking spaces in a crowded-assed parking lot. Thanks, asshole!). If you don't put yours back and you aren't literally crippled, you're a lazy fuck with a micro dick. End of story.

Cart Narc is an austistic twat who's probably gonna end up shot, but he's doing the Lord's work.
I'll just add one more thing that he has harassed legitimately disabled people fwiw.

It's the same concept yes. I found stuff like jackass and Tom green funny when I was a teenager. Now that I'm older and work full time and have responsibilities, not so much. I can see why some people just want not to be messed with.

Hahahahahahahaha How The Fuck Is This Messing With You Hahahaha Nigga Just Drive Away From The Scene Like Nigga Just Take The Magnet Off At Home Haha

I'll just add one more thing that he has harassed legitimately disabled people fwiw.

Go back to reddit with that weak shit. Either post the video so everyone can judge what "legitimately disabled" is, or stop hand waving that virtue signaling concern.

The debate on whether or not to return the cart is moot. Cart Fart’s methods should be on trial here. Although I can’t stand him, a cow he doesn’t make. As it’s been pointed out, he does seem to love the attention. Either way, I call them buggies.

This would be funny if instead of chasing them around with megaautism he acted as if the carts were victims of a murder and running to their aid morosefully moving them to the coralle.
The theatrics would be funny to most people I think, and may actually still get the messahe across even if it's joking.

Obnoxious enforcers are how you get social conventions and taboos enforced. They're the lesser evil compared to corporate enforcement or government regulations.

How do people think this is supposed to work? You get these enforcers in every other walk of life too. Your social circle disapproves of you cheating on your partner, your neighbors complain to you about your overgrown lawn and peeling house paint, your coworkers send you an email when you take a meeting in your cubicle on max volume speakerphone. If these non-binding complaints don't make you conform to the social expectations, they may escalate to a form that has harsher enforcement.

Maybe you see all those examples and think "man I hate those people too, I don't care about their complaints". But then odds are, that makes you a bit of a sociopath, and the Shopping Cart Rule accurately figured you out.

people here in eurofag countries have little coin-shaped tools that let you open the cart lock without putting an actual coin inside
people still return the carts, but if they were inclined to leave them around the parking lot instead, they could do it without losing coins in the process
Last time I went to Germany I encountered these locks, which require a fresh gleaming Euro coin.

Which Germans do they expect to not be tidily putting the cart back according to The Rules?

If it wasn't a problem, they wouldn't NEED technological solutions, or cart wranglers, or coin deposits.

"We're using surveillance and extortion for no reason, to solve something we don't really care about" sounds like something a retarded politician would say in front of the morons who vote for him.

You should ring up and bag your own groceries as well then. Save the poor company the trouble of hiring someone.

He wouldn't let that one black guy go without a magnet, and then ended up chasing him down when he drove away, stopped, and pulled the magnet back off. The guy had to speed off before Sebastian could stick another magnet on his car. That's really fuckin' crossing the line, and he deserves to be gangraped by Muslims for that.

When I'm shopping at busy times, and they don't have enough baggers to cover my lane, I do bag my own groceries while the cashier rings everything up. I am entitled to stand there like a dope and wait for her to finish, then bag the groceries on her own; but then I'm slower getting out, and the people behind me in line are slowed down too.

And that's the whole point, these are minor, voluntary menial tasks that make society run a bit better when you do it, and worse when you don't. It's like politeness to strangers; you aren't required to do it, it's not your official job, but things work more smoothly when everyone is polite vs when they aren't.

I'm starting to think the Shopping Cart Rule isn't just a meme, it's touching on some profound psychological marker similar to "how would you feel if you didn't eat breakfast yesterday".

By the by the idea of shopping carts as some kind of ultimate moral barometer test of ideological purity is indeed extremely autistic, by which I mean it's pretty funny, which is to say the fact that this generates such debate is perhaps a phenomenon worthy of further study in of itself and regardless of stance in this great debate you are all performing a very worthy service to the field of scientific inquiry.

Carry on my good fellows. Carry on.

When self check-out was introduced, I thought bagging your own groceries would be the norm... feels like a massive waste of time looking at the cashier and the bagger while they are working, even if the time to do it yourself is the same.

Apparently there's a video Sebastian never posted because it got pretty serious, about 5 or 6 dudes were ready to stomp him down. A Texas home depot parking lot apparently.

Edit for clarification: Can't prove this, it's just what I've read at the moment.
