If i test positive for COVID and am non-symptomatic, why can't i go to work as long as I wear a mask? Masks are supposed to stop the spread, right? Science™ says so!

Once again, double standards. It's how they've excused the riots "Because they were wearing masks!" yet if masks are this magical talisman that allows us to go back to regular activities then how come it's been such a struggle to get anything normal to reopen, many of which involve a mere fraction of human volume that the riots accumulate? If i test positive for COVID and am non-symptomatic, why can't i go to work as long as I wear a mask? I am so sick of the damn things.masks are this magical talisman
If you go to work while having the virus since it travels airborne even when wearing a mask, there is a decent chance other people might get it. It also depends on your habits within as well as the mask you are wearing (cotton masks not recommended). If i test positive for COVID and am non-symptomatic, why can't i go to work as long as I wear a mask? Nobody fucking cares about gayass case numbers.
OP was 100% right about the severity of the virus when he made this thread.
Also, this whole thing's pretty obviously been planned since 2019 or so. "Build Back Better"
Or a Natsoc argument and say that both sides don't give a flying fuck about their own people so long as the shekels keep flowing to their preferred interest groups.Nah, there are definately right wing people of the same vein of the anti-vaxxer groups who are actually in denial about it unless it directly reaches them.
If it makes you feel any better many on the left are in complete denial that their BLM riots kicked the virus off to explode everywhere, so you can make a radical centrist both sides (tm) arguement here.
1. Infection complications are extremely rare. Besides, last year I got the flu and my left ear was mildly ringing for around 10 months after recovering but is fine now.Case #'s are important because of the long term effects. Ridiculous shit like neurological disorders, glass lung, collapsed arteries, blood clots leading to amputations, reinfection months later that eventually leads to deaths, ADE--this shit is gonna lead to decades of "If you or a family member has dealt with COVID-19, call this number for compensation" informercials and reliance on a broken health care system to what's essentially airborne lupus.
Unlike a lot of people I don't think most of the people in the world will get it. If it really kills after the 3rd and 4th reinfection that would be a full extinction event in 50 years. But climate change was supposed to get us underwater by now and it is happening, severity depending on who you ask, so eh, maybe we're fine and this is all gay.
How do you explain people who get sick with it and then get sick again months later? More likely reinfection with a different strain than it laying dormant in the body. You can obviously get a flu or a cold more than once too, it's not that weird. Also it seems like the worst reactions come from the AB bloodtype (rare), versus O bloodtype (common), which would explain why some people, even without preexisting conditions, get horrifically sick, while others have very light symptoms.1. 2. There's barely any evidence that reinfections are a thing, it's almost definitely false positives.
They reduce the spread, they don't stop it completely. If i test positive for COVID and am non-symptomatic, why can't i go to work as long as I wear a mask? Masks are supposed to stop the spread, right? Science™ says so!
Everyone only cares about case numbers and that's the problem. A big number gets thrown at your face, and it's scary because we've been emotionally prepped to be afraid of the virus. But it's worse because big numbers are hard to fathom. You can visualize three out of your seven friends eating an Italian sub for lunch, but it's much more difficult to visualize 3,000,000 Americans doing anything in unison, much less contracting a novel virus that you can't see.Nobody fucking cares about gayass case numbers.
I can't blame you.
Pretty much. The mortality rate is extremely low.If you die of covid, you weren't going to last very long anyway. It's just being used as an excuse to strip what few rights you had left.
And Americans have obesity in record numbers due to being a fatfuck nation. Covid inflames the lungs and surrounding tissues so all that fat around necks and chests does a great job restricting air.Pretty much. The mortality rate is extremely low.
It seems like for most COVID was like the cherry on top and then boom, dead. I actually genuinely believe the 6% statistic because while there were a few cases wherein COVID knocked someone the fuck out, most of what I've seen reported was the one-two punch. COVID is like a TKO in a boxing match if your health is fucked up.
