I doubt that Sega would ever continue these lesser known titles, because they'll ruin them like how they ruined SANIC, Persona, Yakuza, Puyo Puyo, etc.

Late, but apparently Sega unionizing is so bad, that Sonic Retro doesn't even want to discuss it, so they locked the thread about it.

Even a fan Sonic forum does not support Sega's communist-friendly work labor bullshit

Good, I hope Hyenas flops hard, same for Capcom's Exoprimal bullshit.

Since this is the Sega thread I'll dump my thoughts on Yakuza 0 here, I played a good chunk of it now. I beat the first boss, and I'm glad I made it that far because I almost quit quite a couple times. Combat feels clunky and bad honestly, and most points of interest just sell boring stuff like food. I also can't figure out how to use my equipped weapons, but that's more my fault probably for being retarded.

Once you get to that yakuza boss' hideout and fight your way up to the top, it gets really badass, I even overlooked how shit combat is because it was so cool. My favorite part is when that main underling the boss sicced on you keeps attacking you from behind each time you put him down and move on, what a stubborn sonuvabitch.

But I can only hope combat improves with the sequels, because I really don't like it. Pacing could use some tightening up too.

Crossposting @El Scorcho 's posting from the Yakuza thread
'm keen to see what everyone's thoughts are on this speculation I have had recently.

I recently noticed that on the Steam page for the upcoming game it had the English full audio tick box unchecked.

I know for certain it was checked when they were jerking off Yong on stage after his cringe live performance at the anime expo, therefore it must have been removed within the last few weeks.

I wouldn't have thought anything of it however we just got a second trailer and this one is in Japanese only, usually by this stage they would be ready to start advertising it for the "western audience" since this Japanese game can't just be a Japanese game anymore, it needs to be pandered to the western market by Sega of America.

In any case I stumbled across a bit of an oopsie by none other then the resident faggot Yong Yea where he apparently made a video exclaiming nigger a few times, unfortunately I do not have the video in question as I have not been able to find it (if anyone does I'd really appreciate if you could upload it).

I do have his lengthy apology to it (there are several tweets i'll leave the link but I'm only attaching the first two since it goes on for way too long).

Retard Era and Twitter faggots and are not happy with the turn of events and even less so with his apology and my question is, do you reckon this is going to jeopardize the Manlet of Dojima's upcoming prized role he was born to play? Since it would be a hilarious turn of events if that was the case.

If I was going to get the game I wasn't planning to ever play the dub in any case but they get what they deserve by giving the role to a cringe shill Youtoober faggot with over a million subscribers wow! instead of someone who may not even be well known in the industry but has actual voice acting abilities and talent.

Here are a couple of the responses from Retard Era just in case you haven't already gotten enough cancer for the day.

Dreamcast Mini Was Reportedly Being Considered by Sega But Cost & Quality Concerns Prevented it From Happening

"If we want to release it as a console, it will be like $300 USD because we need to put real hardware in it and the technology is just not cheap enough yet to actually do that", he reveals in the video. "Nobody would be happy with the $300 USD price tag. People would be expecting $100 USD so everyone would be mad." Sega seemingly also considered releasing a mini version with PC conversions of Dreamcast titles, but these titles weren't received that well by the community. "You can either get that cheap affordable one that's not a great product, or you get the product one that's not affordable", Koralik added. "Hence it has not been released".
:stress:
SEGA is staffed by actual fucking retards, I swear to God.

What's their excuse not to do Master System or a proper Game Gear one, I wonder?
Sega just wants people to only remember the Genesis/Mega Drive as their successful console, but had forgotten that even Master System, Game Gear, CD/32x, Saturn and Dreamcast had, respectively, amazing games under their belts.

To be fair, being cheap has been SEGA's business model for quite some time, so it's nothing new. This is just them being open about it.

No shit. After how butchered Sonic Adventure wound up being on the PC, is it any wonder why the community was turned off by that idea?

Also, not the first time SEGA has botched a PC version of their IP's. Shit goes all the way back to Sonic & Knuckles Collection with those god-awful midis, even though the screensaver that came with it had the original tunes (low quality, but still)

As a big Sega Dreamcast fan, I'd honestly rather just have more Dreamcast games available in virtual storefronts than have a Dreamcast Mini.

The same goes for the Sega Master System and I suppose the Saturn (but I never had a Saturn so I have no direct nostalgia for those games personally). I'm not saying Mini Consoles for those consoles shouldn't exist but I'd sooner just buy the games I want to play or buy a collection that has more than just Sonic Adventure, Sega Bass Fishing, Space Channel 5, or the version of Crazy Taxi that has no licensed music or logos.

I think it's because the Genesis is the only system that the West has any nostalgia for and these things seems heavily aimed at the west.
They cant sell a MS/SS/DC for shit because only fanbois would buy them.
There is no nostalgia bait market for these here like Nintendo has with the NES & SNES.
Look how the PS classic basically flopped.

Regarding the Master System, the euros and south americans wound up making it a bigger deal than any other country for whatever reason. Hell, Brazil was still getting Master System exclusive games of thing that were GameGear only (Sonic Blast for example). So the nostalgia is there in the west, just not for the U-S-of-A specifically.

Besides, if Sega really was "Genesis" focused, than they should also be including the 32X, one of the genesis add-ons. I don't remember the Sega CD, the OTHER genesis add-on, fairing too well and yet THAT got mini-releases for it. it would be piss easy too since the 32X library is small as fuck. Not to mention the architecture of the 32x is basically a mini-saturn in it's own right, so once you work on the 32x, you can go straight to the Saturn. Problem solved.

Personally i didnt find the combat clunky ( though i recall you mentioned you werent really good at action titles so maybe that could be a reason ) and its yakuza if you think the 0 is clunky boy dont even go near 1 then even most yakuza fans agree its the clunkest of the series

I am not good at action games, so even if the combat is buttery smooth I'm still pretty ass at them, but I can still differentiate between something that controls well and something that doesn't.

I might've exaggerated how bad it is, it's not abysmal, but I do think it's fairly clunkier than I'd hoped it would be.

Is that every version of Yakuza 1, or are you just referring to the original on PS2?
