This is the last time I'm going to talk about this because you've derailed the subject of this thread. I used that video as an analogy toward stand up comedians. I was not talking about rap music, you immediately changed the subject to rap music. I'm sorry I jokingly used a video from a sitcom you dislike as a joke to make my point but if that's the biggest thing you got hung up on I'm done here.

Normally I hate Seinfield, but he's completely right about this. I've been to Berkeley, which is probably the most liberal and sensitive colleges out there, and the people can't take jokes at all. They always try to find something "intolerant" or "offensive".

He got called out for being a dumbass (for racist speech) and that was precisely the right reaction. If you really believe you're saying something funny, then it's up to you to stand up for it. Grow a pair. That's essential to comedy, taking risks on these sort of issues.

There needs to be social back-pressure against dipshits, just as comedy provides pressure in support of dipshits. (Well, the argument with comedy can probably be boiled down to "stop taking things so seriously!", but you get what I'm aiming at.)
