Selecting a Despot for the Autism Thunderdome

Most of the best suggestions have already been discussed and given support, but I'm gonna throw my hat into the ring for this one. I don't want to be a janny but I do have some thoughts that haven't been touched on.

One of the biggest problems is the people who use A&H for validation, right? The answer is simple.

Take away the "weight" of the stickers. If there's no reaction score to gain, the shitty people will stop posting. If they bleed out elsewhere for attention they'll be wrangled by the jannies of whatever area they bleed into, which means they can either change their behavior or take a ban.

If you take away the thing they crave, they'll either change or leave.
If you really wanted stickers that bad you'd just go to other threads to get the ones you wanted. Limiting it to neutral ratings like "agree" and "disagree" didn't really change much of anything.
When somebody gets too spergy about politics, have mods edit their post to make them appear to have the opposite stance.
That would make KF a publisher and not a platform. That would open up a whole new can of worms for lawsuits against the site.

Jew Spergs need their own containment and debate thread. I can't say I don't have some sympathy, but many of these guys just don't know when to quit. Going into any random thread and seeing "teh joos did this, gas teh Kikes." a dozen times in half a dozen pages gets repetitive at the very least. Bundle most of it up and toss it in a thread called "ADL News and Discussion Thread" or something like that. Some of these fuckers need to learn how to have a discussion around anything other than the Jew.
Again, it probably wouldn't happen, but I think a sticker helps as a relief valve for other users who are sick to death of seeing that sort of thing. You could even label it "I FUCKING LOVE ISRAEL" or something hilariously contadictory to the sperg's rage fit.

The main issue I take with the idea of containment/debate threads being created for this particular topic is that there are already a plethora of those in Deep Thoughts, and they still can't contain it. Finding a way to make it funnier for others so they don't have to get mad about it would be more ideal, imo.

Edit: Inspiration struck me. Check this shit out:

Is there a way to rig up awards people can hand out to other profiles on the site? Perhaps an allotment per each account? That way, people who think Long Dong Silver, for example, is far too much of a Jew hater can pepper his profile with tiny "I FUCKING LOVE ISRAEL" badges sporting an Israeli flag or something? Likewise, Silver could smack them back with little badges of el classico Jew nose on their profiles in kind? Make a game out of it?

Edit edit: Something like this?

If you wanted to make a quick buck, Null, then maybe you could monetize this process somehow? Give more badge/award allotments to T&H fans, or let people buy the stupid things just to be silly assholes to each other? All in good fun, of course. :tomgirl:

If anything we got people in the happenings subforum complaining about dislikers
I have actually noticed that the "dislike" does indeed trigger less of an automatic shitflinging response than the tophats or garbage cans did. It might be a controversial opinion but I do believe limiting stickers in a nd n has had a positive effect on discourse. Sure it took it from nuclear dumpster fire to regular dumpster fire, but it's something.

I agree with everyone saying that the only way to fix things is harsh consequences.

@Android raptor and I get along fine in the threads we both end up in even though she's pro baby killing and I'm anti. Making a comparison to specific people who beef with me is not helpful here but the issue is selfawareness. I know I sperg out, I think everyone itt who has sperged out about other people being spergs will cop to having done it. But there's a bunch of people in A&H who have zero fucking selfawareness. The only way to make them change their behavior is enforcement of consequences.

I didn't come to Kiwi for A&H, but it's easily the most consistently entertaining part of the site, because there's a general camaraderie in outrage that ends up with internal blowups. The entire rest of the site is geared towards the autistic documentation and watching of events in some internet famous person's life, and in no small part schadenfreude; yet when that is applied in its most obvious form, it's not only discouraged, but called a "horribly broken" part of the site, full of "autistic retards" who apparently disrespect the whole of kiwi farms, despite generally keeping conversation limited to that area and not, say, one of the handful of Trump threads that proliferate the site in other areas, because while Trump is not the only lolcow with a lolcow following, he's the one who gets to break the general rule against politicians and celebrities, because the "fair minded" users really dislike his supporters.

Do I misrepresent the situation? The entirety of the kiwi farms is one of the few places where I can engage in both vitriolic discussions on disagreements, and friendly, constructive discussions, with the exact same people. Who gets actually mad in real life about words posted by a retarded internet owl on a fruitposting forum? Yet the blame is always the userbase, who are so beneath notice that our dear leader asks, "who are you, I do not recognize you?" - while expressing opinions very similar to their own on his weekly stream.

TL;DR - lol @ trying to fix autism. I wish you every blessing and wisdom and patience in abundance.

Nah, people who get triggered over sticker ratings deserve to be ridiculed to begin with

I'm in favor of threadbanning users like what already occurs when lolcows come in to fuck around and melt down in their own threads, just look at how the Ukranian war thread in A&N is regularly derailed by a handful of mouthbreathers looking for a ebig trolldings :DDDD fix for proof that threadbanning is a must.

Honestly if you think about it the stickers just incentivize people to make posts that will get them a positive response. Not all individuals are like this but there are some. This is just a thought but perhaps having stickers in that part of the site just discourages people from having open discussions.

it took away all the funny ratings, especially  and :optimistic:
i miss them every time i read a thread in a+h
To this day, I have no idea why they were banned. They are fun to give, ironically and unironically, and have no impact on reaction score. Were people specifically sperging out over these ratings? If so, lol, I'd ban them for just being that big of whiny faggots. Why I can't janny.

Oh 100%. I was purely talking from a stability and readability of the subforum perspective. I do kind of miss the spectacle of thin skinned retards having a class 4 meltdown over trashcans and puzzle pieces.

The only reason I can think of why people got so mad about the stickers is because usually some people are really attached to their political beliefs and what could seem like just disliking a bad post on the internet to some could be seen by others as an attack on them as a person.
