Following up on my previous comment. I've put some thought into some possible restructuring that would make things more pleasant for all parties involved. The first chart shows the basic subforums that I then split into separate images explaining subsections/details. I think it bears repeating that I think it is a very good idea to limit the power/authority being a thunderdomer janny gives someone. I also haven't been able to think of any reasons why janny action there shouldn't require at least two signing off on it if it isn't a major TOS violation. It won't prevent abuse or cliques but it provides a more telltale paper trail of evidence if it happens. Let me know if you have any questions!

Not too different from how things are now. Mistyped and too lazy to re-do it, "Duel Arena" should read "The Pastadome/Puzzle-Piece Factory". This is where debate and sperg containment will be the primary focus.

I think splitting this into a more-serious and less-serious side would help with navigation while embracing the duality of current Deep Thoughts.

Anyone familiar with Runescape will understand the Duel Arena/Wildy designation. Duel Arena is "friendly" or at least respectful enough that you should be able to move on from things. It can be user v. user or side v. side. Users that cannot maintain decorum here are condemned to the Seppo. Wildy- not mutual or required to be respectful. Maybe have a "Powerlevel" assigned to users and let OPs there by choice choose their difficulty (jannies can adjust this as they see fit). While not necessarily a place of punishment, "fuck around and find out" should be good advice to potential posters.

The Septic Tank is where any users that net minor punishments end up. Shitposts are moved here. Users banned from the greater thunderdome are still allowed to comment and even make threads, in text only. I think the maximum punishment Thunderdome jannies should be allowed is non-permanent condemnation here. Shit that pisses of Null, VIPs, or approved staff can be moved here. "Problem Users" that make this place their exclusive home are given proactive Halal-approval at Null's/actual staff's discretion.
