going to bed early so i can wake up early. turns out staying up late melts my braincells into a soup-like consistency.

First I clean my room... then i light a candle or two, do some huge bong rips out on the balcony, pet my cat, and either shitpost, watch a good movie or play vidya.

Do you consider cleaning and tidying up your place self-care? To be honest, I never heard of the concept, so I googled it. This is the definition according to WHO. Basically, it's taking care of yourself and your health in every aspect.

I googled a bit more and another website mentioned wearing makeup, painting your nails or even shopping for clothes as self-care, which I find dumb because don't see how those activities can improve a person's (a woman's, more precisely) general wellbeing. So my question is, can makeup and nail polish, and similar shit, really count as self-care?
Consoomers like to pretend stuff like that is self care because they're morons.

I think the essence of self-care should be spending time around people you like and who like you back, whether that be your lover, your kids, your friends, or even yourself (if you’re lonely or just a misanthrope). Have fun, make memories, don’t consoom recklessly but don’t be cheap, either. Take the pills if you need them, talk to someone who will listen and give good advice, touch grass, have an adventure. Do something you like, but not to excess, so that it stays special.

I work out, I eat organic meals, I listen to uplifting music, and most importantly I tell people that they're niggers and faggots and they're jealous that I'm better than them when I play video games.

Keep my bedroom tidy, myself clean, the kitchen sanitary, exercise regularly and read proper books.

Unfortunately I have a bit wrong with my brain meats, so all this can be a lot harder than it should be.

Go walk around outside every day. It is free and comes with anti-deathfat benefits, and sunlight has antidepressant benefits

Am ok fren. We come to Kiwi farms for in reality we are all 🗑 and 🧩 . Without TMI, I feel you.

Forgot to say some of my self care: I like to keep things scheduled in a planner. As soon as I need to do something important, I write it down or set my alarm. I like walking whenever the weather allows it. Ever since corona started, I've been using handcream like a motherfucker because it feels nice to have soft skin and because it helps my skin heal from washing and dry environments.

Every 6-8 weeks my partner and I both leave town with our mistresses for a night or the weekend. I always come back refreshed. Also botox, tretinoin, 7+ hours of sleep a night and 3L of water a day.

Self-care as a concept was just something to make basic menial tasks like showering, eating, and tidying your house, palatable to depressed millenials and teens with an addiction to the internet.

It was never supposed to be an excuse to consoom, but that's what it inevitably became once people who work in online marketing started hearing of it.

This. Having a set-in-stone sleep schedule (No later than 9 PM to sleep and 5 AM to wake up) has made all the difference in my life. Sleep hygiene is SO important. I'm done trying to be young and cool and pretend like I don't need sleep.
