Disagree. Like gender, age of consent is a social construct. Somebody else mentioned it earlier too but it’s true.

We may be thinking of different people. The guy I know is a pants shitting exceptional individual who doesn’t own a car. Just drawn art of fucking cars with real photos as a reference. But you can’t own pictures of children drawn from a real reference. Double standard.

If kids can transition they can consent. No parent would ever brainwash a child to further their agenda or for attention.

I see a lot of overblown reactions in this thread, probably because the article fails to mention that literally nobody except the pedos want pedos in LGBT+ communities. Everybody hates them with the burning passion they usually reserve for calling people Nazis on Twitter. When large swathes of non-pedos start campaigning for pedo rights, then start talking.

Are you nuts? The difference between gay people, trans people and pedophiles is that gay people aren't hurting anybody, trans people, by and large, are only hurting themselves (if you happen to subscribe to that view), and pedophiles by their very nature want to hurt children via sexual contact. It's not a crime to have sex with another guy or gal, dress in women's clothing or consent to surgery, but it is very much a crime to rape kids (and it is always rape, because they are literally unable to consent).

Thank you. I think a lot of people in this thread are not getting this.

The LGBTQ community--at least as far as I see where I live--is doing everything we can to keep pedophiles from slipping in to our community. We background check when we can. We check sex offender registries in the area. And the local gay bar does not serve known pedos.

Child predators are dangerous and insidious and they are the enemy of every decent person.

In his defense, minors can consent with other minors. My high school girlfriend had to tell her mom to back off when we got caught in an awkward situation, but she still called the po-po trying to get me locked up for defiling her daughter. That was a hilarious conversation to have with my parents and her dad, who was surprisingly cool with it and laughed it off. Her mom just hated my guts.

Which is powerleveling, but it's in the interest of intellectual honesty and keeping the discussion pure by providing anecdotal examples of minors giving consent.

Also, minors can get married with "adults" in some states with parental consent. That's why Jerry Lee Lewis couldn't get work anymore, he married his underage relative in Louisiana where it was legal. Laws might have changed since then, I don't know. I admittedly do not pay attention to "Romeo and Juliet" laws since I'm not prowling around trying to bang teenage girls.

The obvious answer is “yes, that’s such a tiny minority” just as a small percentage of MAP are harmful. Kids can consent. States don’t even have a consistent age of consent. If you wanna get technical and talk numbers on a federal level the age of consent is 12 but varies per state. So hebephiles are covered.

Great example. It’s ok for two 12 year olds to have sexual relations but not a 122 year old and a 12 year old. Double standard.
