Life lessons/advice that you would not tell someone outside of the forum

Really interested to hear from perhaps "successful" kiwifarmers with good advice that you could only get here, not interested in generic "just workout" advice.

THIS IS NOT A GENERAL ADVICE THREAD, THIS IS SPECIFICALLY SOMETHING YOU COULD/WOULD NEVER TELL SOMEONE WITHOUT THE BENEFIT OF ANONYMITY!

Nobody gives a shit about ideologies when it starts affecting their real life, so stop letting whatever ideology you have ruin yours.

Kiwis like to pretend it's just the left who let their ideology ruin their lives but kiwis are just as retarded. If a nigger actually walked up to one and complimented them and said "What's up homey" they aren't going to be thinking "eww a nigger" or whatever super duper upvoted racist post they last saw, they're going to be thinking "oh he thinks I'm cool, I think he's cool too".

This is best exemplified by Daryl Davis, a nigger who convinced hundreds of die-hard KKK faggots to abandon their ideology just by doing the sheer unthinkable task of actually befriending them.

Some people are born lucky, some aren't, it's just a part of life. Nature plays more of a factor in your upbringing than you realize, I've seen people from wealthy households that glorify street life and being a criminal, and I've seen people from poor households succeed through preserverence and determination, you ultimately are premade in some way shape or form.

Record everything. What you do and what others are doing around you. Be meticulous in your notekeeping and book keeping. Keep your receipts, have an etag on your car which records where you are going. If in a workplace keep on you a pocket recorder to record conversations (make sure you're doing so where one party recording is legal), and keep everything filed (preferably on two spare hard drives and never on a cloud).

The reason for this is the workplace and world is full of cut throat narcissists who get ahead by causing chaos and division in the workplace, they are very good at kissing the right arse and very good at splitting and scapegoating. They're going to be your bosses, your co-workers and underlings, and they're all going to cause you a lot of problems. They are however always massive fuckups and liabilities, who don't actually plan out what they do properly. When the time comes that you no longer want to deal with that person, or you want to remove that person in order to snatch their spot via promotion, nothing panics HR like a phonebook of legally recorded wrong doings being dumped on their desk and it will move that person out of your life (and the workplace) quicker than you'd imagine. Never drop just one complaint at a time (nobody listens), but overwhelming evidence of continued negligence and fuckups will destroy that person. Even keep those records if you decide to move workplace rather than complain, as you'd be surprised how useful they may become later on.

I cannot stress enough how meticulous note keeping has saved me. If you're accused of something falsely press people for date time and location so you can go back through your filings and prove where you were and what you were doing (as false accusations will always take place at a time where you weren't actually around). Dropping the "phone book" of notes got rid of a boss who in his next job, less than 9 months after he was fired, got 3 people killed through being an incompetentt bum, landing him and the people under him getting jail time and taken to civil court.

I cannot stress it enough meticulous and thorough note taking and record keeping is the best habit to develop when it comes to saving your ass and advancing in your career.

Yeah, these types can afford glorifying it and dig it because, like their parents, they're sociopaths, sometimes they're dumb as shit but most times, they're also smarter than average, like their successful parents. So, watch out! Being industrious doesn't get you ahead on it's own merit. Intelligence does, which is mostly genetic in the up direction but can be influenced by upbringing in the down direction and hence, can be lost, if not trained. By your mid 20s you will noootice the natural cognitive decline kicking in but no one openly admits it, boomers talking about it are just paying lip service to their old person larp, it starts way sooner. To that end, if you are stuck in a rut but still young, avoid working dumb jobs at any cost, prefer taxi driving over amazon picker, if you have to "grind" for reasons. Otherwise, you WILL dumb down, avoid working with stupid people in low positions, it can and will rub off on you, again, taxi driving or front facing service jobs over working construction with the booze bros. This seems counter intuitive but there are almost no smart blue collars guys left - not saying they're retards, they may have been sharp in their youth and now they have "experiene" but none of the jobs really jog the noggin in the long run, it's a wrong turn. the guys you think are cool when you are a kid, have been at it for decades and made their journey man at ~27 when others are doing their masters. Don't fall for writing mundane shit, like orders down, if you still can manage to go by memory or at least only do it for safety but try to remember everything. else you will find yourself writing more and more down over the years and ind addition to you being lazy, dumb people tell you it's a "good habit" or outright force you to. Not good. (I don't mean recording evidence, as mentioned above) Dull shit is the mind killer, I learned that the hard way by falling for le "a job's a job" meme.

Edit: I didnt' mean journey man. I meant the one after that. There is one after that in the u.s., right?
Edit2: I really can't do it with much less shitting on the working man but it's the farms anyway, so take what you like from it. Get that noggin joggin. Hang with smart and interesting people.

There is nothing wrong with doing dishonorable or taboo things to enrich yourself (unless ur raping someone or some sick shit)

I joined the military and after 1 term of enlistment I was rated 100% P&T by the VA, which in 2023 was $3621 a month, and in 2024 $3737 a month; it goes up with inflation, and its tax free. I was a space guy, I never deployed, I sat on my ass in some big ass SCIF doing excel paperwork until one day I came down with a few autoimmune diseases. No amount of pride about being A. Wyatt Man who doesn't take handouts will fill the void that $45000 untaxed per year does.

I just bought a $300k house and my $3737 paycheck pays for my mortgage/house insurance, utilities, car/insurance, and maybe gas if you wanna lump that it in; my actual job pays for food and retarded shit I buy. If its offered to you, take it.

Great start to the thread, posting something completely wrong. Nobody feels at ease being approached by niggers in public.

Do you think people using AI would generate conversations to frame someone? I'm sure they will, unless the particular software leaves minor "traces" to tell it's AI if a serious investigation is started. Not up to date with current safeguards these programs have though.

But by the same token, it could render your evidence invalid if accused of being AI generated.

I had similar doubts: The objective reliability of @Popper Whiting 's "evidence" in the eyes of another party, is pretty wonky. Which in turn, makes for the horrifying realization, that what matters to H.R. really is and always just was the P.R. and and a smooth operation, getting rid of people either way is their only recourse, they have no tools outside of hire and fire. If @Popper Whiting looks like more of a problem than the other guy, just because of his autism, that's enough for some hapless H.R. person or middle manager to wave the white flag, methinks.

General life lessons/advice that you would not tell someone outside of the forum
Thing is, life lessons are exactly that. You kind of need to get through them to really get the full value.

One good advice I think anyone can achieve and understand is just to work harder. You can never get it wrong if you work harder. Don't be busy, work smart. Learn and move on when you have nothing to learn left and you don't see return on investment.

It does not matter if people don't recognize you at your worth on the moment. Ultimately, you will gain from it. It's a state of mind that cannot fail you. No matter your level of education or domain of expertise, those actually try are rare and precious.

Obviously, if you have crab hands, PTSD and waiting for the NHS to sponsor your dick getting cut off, then you should just kill yourself. There is always an exception to the rule.

Most good advice either isn't that sacrilegious, or won't be applicable to everyone.

Nobody gives a shit about ideologies when it starts affecting their real life, so stop letting whatever ideology you have ruin yours.

Largely true, but at the other end of the spectrum you get people like that couple who biked through ISIS territory because "people are just people" and got murdered.

The poorer an area gets, the more racial politics and ideology tend to emerge. If you're in the projects, you can get along with people by just showing general respect and acting like you fit in, but they definitely see color and you should be aware of it.
That's life: if someone is able to go home to a nice house and a warm meal, it's a lot easier to say "You know what? No big deal".

The world doesn't exist in extremes. People are often more human than you'd expect no matter where you go, but you also have to not be an idiot and respect differences (which itself is something people respect). Charisma only goes so far.

No, I don't. It is also why I said store them on 2 hard drives separate from your computer. Keep a notebook of points for you to record afterwards. Keep receipts. Use an Etag. Your credit card also tracks where you were, as does steam or any of the consoles. AI can't forge receipts, it can't back up documents with receipts and hand written notes. It will always be obvious that a conversation is AI generated and not a recording. And don't fucking use CHATgpt to do your record keeping.

Someone saying "He must have used AI for all of these things" is just going to look like a monumental retard and any workplace who accepts that explanation is opening themselves up for severe litigation.

Proper notekeeping will save your ass.

TMI, but I work as a mining safety and efficiency officer/consultant, so my note taking advice isn't autism, it is from many hard learned lessons (usually other people's). Unless I break the rules or do something egregious I'll never be touched by HR, me simply holding the position I do saves the company I work for more money that I am paid. It is also something I don't abuse, I've intentionally become the most seemingly detached and boring person in the workplace as I know I how good I have it (which leads to my other advice, don't get drunk with people from work and dont have sex with people from work). I do spend a lot of time looking at problems in the workplace, it is usually a person or a group of people and I've learned what gets rid of someone, and what protects someone from being getting rid of. Meticulous notes taken, conversations recorded and as much evidence attached as possible is essential. You don't have to do pages, keep it succinct and to the point, but book keeping is vital, especially in an age of AI.

Good point, edited it so it's more specific. Thank you all for your interesting contributions, it's been great for putting my mind off of things I have no control of.
