No my friends. This is a man with a piggyback fetish.
From his facebook (now deleted): ‘Give me a piggyback ride!’ and that he wants to meet ‘good looking boys. Preferably at libraries when no one else is around.’”
Sherwin's typical modus operandi is to sneak into a high school athletics function. Basketball, Baseball, Hockey, whatever, and pose as a retarded waterboy, or a team manager, photographer, interviewer... whatever he thinks will work. He often wears a disguise to blend in.
Once he has infiltrated the team, he will look for a target. When he finds the target, usually a young male on the team, and often the best player (he will do his research online to know this), he will hurl his 240 pound body onto the student's back, and piggyback ride him for as long as he can get away with it.
Police officers who have witnessed him do this describe his actions in purely sexual terms.
He has done this over and over and over again, going to schools all over the country, and doing the same routine.
While his mother claims he has Aspergers, it does not seem to be that serious. However, he will often pretend to be severely mentally challenged as a way of getting sympathy or more piggybacks. Every now and then, he'll get even creeper about it, touching players, and sometimes grabbing player's arms and attempting to pull them into the locker room.
