Canada gave the world the greatest movie ever: The Final Sacrifice. A movie so great it should have it's own Heritage Minute commercial.
That's a funny way of spelling the godfather saga.

The British are strange. We should bring them freedom.

If freedom involves Kanye West and Honey Boo-Boo you can keep it. ;)

Freedom involves a right to bear arms, free speech, privacy, equality, and not being arrested for revving my engine in a "racist" manner, or getting arrested for being "racist" when asking to be put in a different group in school where people speak my language.

Explain how any of that restricts freedom.

It gets worse. “Overall, 5.4 million crimes were recorded in the UK in 2007 — more than 10 a minute — second only to Sweden. . . . It means there are over 2,000 crimes recorded per 100,000 population in the UK, making it the most violent place in Europe.”
Great Britain’s crime rate is nearly four times that of the United States. “By comparison, America has an estimated rate of 466 violent crimes per 100,000 population.”

Why can't I hold all this opression and crime??

This thread has sure gotten off-topic.

Also, the Sunday Mail/the Mail on Sunday is just the Sunday edition of the Daily Mail, so it's bollocks too.

(Sorry for continuing the off-topicness of this, but I really like troll feeding)

The metro article directly sources the Daily Mail article, therefore bollocks.
All three of the links that you linked to about revving the car all source the same article, an article on the sunday mail (a derivative of the daily mail) that has since been removed because it was bollocks.

I don't understand how the violence of the citizens equates to freedom in any way, if your point was that we are punished badly and oppressed through the Criminal Justice System, its not necessarily true. I don't disagree that we are violent bastards, if one is talking about freedom then you could argue that UK citizens are free from the fear of the law. However, statistics can be skewed to go for anything really.

this link shows that the US has the highest amount of prisoners per capita in the world. Surely prison is a way for the government to impede ones freedom, a violation of this freedom you believe so strongly in?

(please note I'm not anti-American, I'm anti ignorance, and pro troll-feeding )

I think the sperging that this thread has veered into is pretty obnoxious, but this line tweaked me quite a bit. Prison isn't inherently a violation of the ideal of freedom because the intent is to respond to people infringing on other people's freedom. For the good of the group, the government needs to respond.

This. If you commit a crime, you go to jail. Punishment for a crime is not a violation of freedom. Making retarded shit a crime is. I don't think rape/murder/theft is a retarded crime.

America is great and so is Chris, but let's stay on topic and talk about the latter.

next person to say something off topic has to watch an episode with shezow.

And how would we get chris to watch it? Pray to the trolling gods?

It's on the same channel as MLP:FIM. He'll inevitably see at least one promo for it.

Seconding that.
Seems like something he'd watch on his own sooner or later.

Is The Hub Channel a mainstream channel, or is it one of those niche ones that get like 30 viewers? Not overly familiar with US TV channels, and I wonder how likely it is Chris will be made aware of it (either through advertising, or leaving the channel on, or through word of mouth)

I think it comes with basic cable channel packages. Like, one day it just showed up. It must be somewhat popular if it attracts all of the MLP fans. It also plays Animaniacs and Batman: TAS, so that's pretty boss.

I feel that shezow will draw in some viewers

It comes with digital cable, Basic cable only gets you a few random local channels, and the hub is a little more esoteric than that. I know this because I just moved out of my dad's place and only have the minimum package to keep my internet bill down.

But besides mlp and the random WB shows, it really doesnt have much. in fact, it has the highest levels of flash cartoons. of any cartoon network.

They still do, I think.

Well I just googled the Hub, and they replaced Discovery Kids. That's fucking depressing. A channel showing stupid ponies and children in drag replaced Discovery Kids. The world became a little less bright when I realised that children won't have Mystery Hunters to watch as they grow up, or Eureka!, or Gross! or even Steve Irwin and his family antagonising crocodiles...

They weren't that great, but you could fool yourself (and your parents) into thinking they were educational because it had the discovery globe in the logo. And they had fantastic games on the red button. And they had only one advert unlike all the other kids channels (which usually had like 10 minutes of adverts at a ridiculously high volume, like twice the volume of the programs).

Oh man, that's genuinely depressed me. Huge nostalgia crash (:_(
