I meant the kind of slap that's mostly noise, same on the arm.
i don't agree with hitting children either, you're right. I was trying to offer an alternative to the animals on this thread that think Ye Olde Belt is peak parenting. I now see it came across as me agreeing with any physical punishment, which I honestly don't.
Kids should be raised to respect their parents, not fear them.
I got the shit kicked out of me by my mother, couple times by grandma. Quite regularly.
Did it make me a better person? Yes, I think it did. I was an incredible asshole. Nothing like a full-bodied slap across the face to take you down a few pegs.
Do I advocate for carnal punishment? Generally - No. There are few kids that are shitty enough to require it. Case-by-case basis
Things I noticed on bodycam vids, that I NEVER saw IRL in the 90s.
TL;DR - Drunk and Sober women on Youtube are having psychotic breaks at cops.
I think it's SSRIs interacting with drugs/alcohol. SSRIs are a plague.
Let me pose a question/observation. I watch a few bodycam channels on Youtube, and I noticed some weird trends:
1) (women generally) go absolutely nuts when arrested and searched by male or female officers. They truly believe that after shoplifting $5k worth of merchandise, no one has the right to touch them or place them in handcuffs or the back of a car.
2) (women generally) when verbally confronted noting inappropriate behavior, justify physically attacking police officers. This is usually when the subject is heavily intoxicated., but sometimes not (because words=violence). The resulting explosion of verbal and physical attacks (to others and self) actually resembles a psychotic break.
I think that SSRIs (which every Stacey is on) cause destructive behavioral changes, which are most obvious when combined with alcohol & drugs.
Also, alcohol and drug abuse by SSRI users is common, barely notable. I think we need to investigate these interactions.
