Anyone who donates is just supporting an another entitled unappreciative useless eater. There are people who bust their ass every day and dont have a life nearly as nice as chris has or I guess had. He deserves nothing and will get nothing from me. To be honest this country needs less people with his and his mothers mindset. I just dont believe you can call it charity when the money is going to be squandered and no good will come from it.

Don't want to donate? fine, don't do it, but stop a-logging, pinhead.

I'm going to touch on a few things

1. It probably isn't too great of an idea to have your first post be such a an abrasive one. Things like that isn't how you have a discussion.

2. Agreed on Chris being lazy and a parable as to what is wrong with the welfare culture the US is developing into. Disagreed on his mother. She actually worked for many years and retired.

3. The money won't necessarily be wasted but could be used to further facilitate useless crap which fuels his inability or want to do anything for himself.

4. Femboi Bunny, don't contribute to forum discourse if you want everyone to be chill. Calling names is something you seemed to want to avoid.

I've actually been intentionally mum around the forums the last few days mostly due to the whole donation thing, and to be honestly I'm still very divided on the whole affair.

Personally, I believe Chris doesn't deserve shit. He is incredibly blessed to have himself, his mom, and the beasts to all escaped okay, and for the house not erupting into a giant fireball that for all extents and purposes should have happened. They still have their gov't income. And wherever they're going to be placed next, odds are it's going to be leagues better than the dump Barb demanded they live in. And when they eventually kicked out of that living situation, it will be on their own heads.

I feel no sympathy for them. It is a horrible thing that has happened- that much is not lost on me. But this isn't something that happened from any outside, external force. It wasn't some meth-head breaking and burning down the house or some tornado coming down and striking the house. This was the folly of the Chandlers. This fire was the culmination of Barb and Chris' willful ignorance and disregard to common sense. Make no mistake I would not wish this upon them on my darkest of days, but I think it is incredibly insincere to say we weren't expecting something of this of some variation to happen.

Donations, money or otherwise, I feel would be squandered on Clan Chandler. Back during the height of Chris' ego and naivete, he would throw away gifts if they did not meet his exact expectations. Part of me would want to believe that perhaps the inferno was in turn a healthy plateful of humble pie for Chris, but I cannot be certain. Chris has the amazing ability to remain emotionally and mentally thick that do not adhere to his incessant demand for warm fuzzies. I would suspect he will in short time find some kind of outlet to remain emotionally distant and non-committed to everything that has happened. I can seriously expect him to have his aging and ill mommy to handle all the insurance forms while he does nothing except waiting in the State Farm waiting room, playing Pokemon and stinking up the joint.

But will I say that donations are inherently a bad and/or stupid thing? No. It isn't because he is a victim of some horrible circumstance; I believe Chris and Barb will continue on their own path for mutual destruction and it is only Chris' amazing luck-of-the-devil that it hasn't ended with him dead, in jail, or with a sexual offender charge placed upon him. Rather, it is the small but still existing sliver of hope that believes Chris may still get his head out of his ass, shape up and at least become to some degree functional in society. I'm not expecting him to become some grand author or good husband. Just the idea of Chris sustaining himself- working during the day, going out on a Friday to hang out with some co-workers at the bar on a Friday, that would be leagues above his circumstances. If I were to give a donation, I would like to think of it as an encouragement for Clan Chandler to persevere through this, as a quiet reminder that despite as much as he annoys the shit out of us, we do still like surprises- and we still hope they can surprise us yet.

So yeah- divided about it.

I been thinking this over, and I kinda have to agree to disagree with _blank_ on this one.

On the one hand, I think that any, and most likely all, money sent to him and Barb would be spent on almost nothing but Hungrymans and ill-fitting clothes/worthless crap from Goodwill as opposed to say, soap and toilet paper. Likewise, it'd probably be a similar, though far more wasteful issue with any item that anyone sends their way. Then again (and this is where I have to disagree), It is a nice attempt at kindness nevertheless.

In the end, I'm actually kinda glad that 14 Branchland torched up. It gives them a fresh start and hopefully has taught them a lesson on never to keep that much shit in their house ever again (not that it would stick in the long run, but that would be nice). Still kind of saddens me that all of Chris's things went up, but that happens I guess.

Hi I'm new here, I've been reading the cwcki since 2010, I'm from South America and I was pretty innactive in september of 2013 because I stopped reading the cwcki because I read everything since his navy and fanta experience , every saga and every article on the cwcki.
One day I went to ED's frontpage and what did I found? A "did you know" that said "Chris chan burned his house and now he's fucking homeless" at first I thought it was a joke, I clicked the link expecting some kind of Rick roll, meatspin or that kind of ED's twisted shit, what did I found? A news report talking about the fire on 14BC, I couldn't believe it, maybe Chris is not a good person but shit no one deserves to get their place on fire, well... I registered here because what happened recently is an important piece of Christory, we have something in common, we are following the life of a human being since he was born (articles with photos of Chris and his family when he was just a baby.) To the thing Chris has evolved to... and I think that what's happening on Chris's life is really important and a hard time, instead of collecting money and that kind of stuff we should do somethin like making a care package, a cardboard box with personal hygiene items, clothes and that kind of stuff, yeah, we could do that to people that really needs it or give it to the african children blah blah, but we owe a lot of things to Chris, all those times when we laughed at him, when we cried with him or even feel bad about him, (when bob died...) maybe chris's ego is high, maybe he's an hypocrite, maybe he acts like an asshole, I hate to say it but he needs us and we need him, Chris is our lolcow and if anyone dares to harm him and pull out an A-log he will suffer.
I joined in this forum because of the people here, you're all the best trolls I've ever saw, and god none of you are edgy assholes who likes to pick on retards. (No mean to offend chris, even through he haven't made the right choices/desitions.)
That's all.
Tl;Dr
We should make a box with personsl hygiene items, food and clothes because Chris spends his :tugboat: on stupid shit.

I propose a compromise. Everyone who thinks donating is lame can donate the highwater jeans he specifically requested nobody send

I was thinking Top Ramen, a cyber bully calendar, and coupons are the way to go if you just plain don't give a shit about him. Donating seems more and more 'right' when you look at the shit his supposed friends put up :|

I don't think that's entirely fair. Yes, Watermelon is a fucking idiot, but there are a few people pulling for Chris in productive ways. One of his acquaintances, Dana I believe, actually rallied some of her friends to donate clothing for him. Granted, there's no way any of that clothing is going to fit (32" waist my ass), but it's the thought that counts. Not to mention what a few other people, his neighbour, Rocky, his church and Kevin Mann, are doing to help him. Chris is getting far more help than he deserves, that's for sure.

I was referring exclusively to Watermelon who is a complete fucking idiot by any standard

You and I are polar opposites on the charity viewpoint but at least me and you and everyone else can agree on this point.

NO H8

The main thing that I would be worried about is if the donations will actually go to things Chris and Barb really need. I don't want anything I give them to go towards vidya and junk.

I'm pretty sure they'll get the donations sent to them. It's just in doing so the money that they would of had to spend on necessities can now instead be spent on new junk and re-acquiring previously purchased vidya.

It's kinda ironic that Chris' infamy has actually helped him out in his time of need.

I truely hope that you guys aren't just giving Chris money. You realise it'll just go towards funding Hoard 2.0, right?

I was planning on donating 3DS games, I'm sure they probably have some value and Chris could trade them for vegetables at any reputable farmer's market.

I was actually thinking in relation to the whole gift card idea that has been thrown around in the fundraising thread, he could take a gift card say from Krogers and just use it to get another gift card to say, Gamestop or Amazon. There's no real way to not let him be an irresponsible butthole with any sort of funds that doesn't involve just shipping him the actual stuff.

Sometimes gift cards to a big store won't let you cash it in for another gift card. All pure random speculation at this point, but I've seen it happen before.
