There are two sides to every issue.

On one side; malware bad

On the other; @australian cryptid had it coming. Byuu's post was an obvious shitpost, especially considering the fact that Australian cryptid had already refused an offer for a zipped modfile here;



So I respectfully request you reconsider. Did byuu do something naughty? Yes. But the second he realized people might actual do it (IE; when someone actually did it), he went and edited his post with a warning not to do it, and then eventually deleted it. It was a shitpost gone wrong, and byuu was a good boy who didn't mean no harm.

I'm trying to understand the chemistry behind this. Yeah, bleach and salt will produce chlorine gas, but salt and baking soda won't react and form anything interesting. The chlorine gas will react with the pennies, but it will create cupric chloride, which is fairly harmless. Same with the chloramine formed from the ammonia and copper.

I'm guessing there is no sense to most of what is going on here, with the pennies and the baking soda being a mislead, and this is just meant to kill people by making them inhale a mix of chloramine and chloride gas.

The ammonia and bleach is the biggest fun nono I can spot but I'm not 100% on chemistry.
