They are dead in the water. I've said it before, but I'll be very surprised if they even finish this season and don't decide to try and sell it as a game.

Something about the scene's lighting and obvious "fakeness" of the surrounding foliage giving them a clear center, and the constant shot-reverse shot just screams Source Filmmaker to me. Like they've made the video game equivalent of a bad soundstage. Oh god, you know what it reminds me of? The cutscenes in Hunt Down the Freeman. Just awful.

Silent Hill did the female perspective. SH3. A much better game than what could be released now.
This is why I’ve told people that Silent Hill shouldn’t be brought back. This is the shit you get with Konami. Anyone hyping up the 4 soulless products announced at the same time will realize how shit this franchise has become once all 4 are released. I’m still a firm believer that Silent Hill died with team silent. There is no more Soulent Hill, now it’s just Soulless Hill.

So looking through the new stuff Tubi has for the month, and I see Silent Hill: Ascension on there. Like what? Did they ever mention it getting put on free streaming channels? Did it bomb THAT hard? I'm not sure if I want to suffer through watching it, but I might be bored enough one night.

Yep, 1, 2, 3, and maybe 4 depending on how you feel, thats the series and beyond that its just shit with the name branded on to it like a slot machine.
Its strange how we are completely unable to just let things be done in this day and age. Very few new ideas coming out, its just some shit with branding stuck on it. Everything has to keep going on forever, stuck into an extended universe.

It sounds entertaining and in a way it is if you're an analytical mind but every single aspect of the pacing, animations, music and voice acting is worse then jank.
It looks like gmod source maker with the voice acting of an alien AI. Nobody talks like a human being and I can only assume the people choosing the choices are having the characters act retarded. Yeah you're basically watching a shitty lets play you have no ability to affect or change.

It's like someone tried to make a generic exaggerated horror movie with the most vague understanding of silent hill imaginable. There's quite literally no sense of subtilty or nuance.
Say what you will about the 1st movie but it was more deserving of the title then this.
