Has anyone played that shitty new silent hill f2p game? I know I’m not touching it. It’s the cyber bullying one, right?

Regardless of the combat I have to ask what the hell is going on with that music.

SH2 remake looks a little rough but I so badly want it to be great. Wish it would have gotten the same budget that the RE2 remake got

It's a third person action game wearing the skin of Silent Hill 2. You didn't think anyone was going to make a real survival horror game in this day and age did you? Those stopped getting made years ago and companies consider them unprofitable now.
 
As far as trailers go, it could’ve been worse, though the music felt unfitting at times and I’m not expecting it to be good.
 
I like that the action seems better. I never got into the original due to how incredibly clunky the action is.

In an ideal world you have a game with great gameplay and a great story and you don't have to choose which you want.
 
I started the free game and the menu music led me into the trap of being like "This isn't so bad" but then there's a suicide helpline message and then the game starts and then I just barf.

What'sherface looked at a newspaper and lamented that adults are "slaves to the system" and I barfed again.
 
The IP’s still owned by Konami right? Yeah I have zero trust in them making anything good.

That reads like decent AI or a libtard wrote it. It's the worst thing I've ever read in one of these horror game note things.

The only good thing about the recent rash of Silent Hill garbage is that it'll make Book of Memories seem better by comparison, because that was decent for a portable spinoff.
 
out of curiosity anyone have a good way to play sh2? was trying to play it a while ago and bedies some conveluted method (which i dont fucking remember cause im a tard) i couldnt find anything else

Last time I played it was on PC using the Enhanced Edition. I thought it was pretty nice. Obviously you'll need to torrent the PC version of the game use your legally obtained disc-based copy.
Other than that, best bet is probably emulation with PCSX2 or whatever.
