There was a game a few years ago about some sand-negro in Germany released on the PlayStation. The series was better off dead than being thrown about like a cheap whore to whoever with cash wanted to make their own garbage interpretation of the series. At this point the series is just licensed SCP with how many people have had their hands on it.

You should already know silent hill project was gonna be infested once it was revived in 2022 and the reddit side of the fanbase. If you were a real fan you'd know this series was over when team silent were disbanded in 2005.

Oh God no wonder this one was so hesitated upon. They fucking ruined it. I was hoping this would be the good game of the batch and it's all just shit! I should've known. It's literally 2006-2012 Silent Hill all over again... Hoping our generation's PT arrives sometime.

I'm hoping this one kills the studio and kills the franchise again. I'm not about to take faggot commie nigger messaging in this dog shit town. I had more optimism when this guy looked white in the trailer and I swear to God he was, he looked Vaush like with a ponytail, I wasn't expecting it to be our protagonist. It looks like they race swapped him and added a beanie.

This is silent hill 2: 2 again, f was a disappointment and so is this, and it's on unreal engine 5. And they hired the wrong monster artist yet again, and it's all fucked.

All the wait for nothing. Silent Hill 1-4 will be decompiled someday at least.

There's this quality of being a grownup where I know I have total control over my finances (to any extent someone can) and I can just look at shit like this and think, "You know what? I don't have to give these people my money and I don't think I'm going to." It just puts this little smile on my face.

So this isn't even so bad it's good like the first, or hilariously bad like Revelations, it's just fucking garbage? Fuck, man.
 
Genuine question: when did people involved in the series decide that every game has to be about some character with some hidden tragic or mysterious backstory? I think I already know the answer which is that 2 did it and everyone loves 2 ergo vis-a-vis Do What 2 Do but is it so easy to forget that in 1... Harry is just Harry. 3 you might be able to argue for but just because Heather has a secret background doesn't make her someone with this super cereal tragic past necessarily. And of course in 4 one of the biggest complaints was that Henry was basically a blank piece of paper (I quite liked him actually, similar to Harry in a lot of ways and there's tons of emotion there that people forget about).

It's so tedious that I genuinely cringe when they set up some sort of mystery with the protagonist because my faith in the writers to actually come up with something that isn't some contrived, lazy backstory is next to zero. F Fucked this up badly and every western release has done it too. Also, what's the over-under on RACISM being an underlying theme? I'd personally put it lower than I would have if this had come out 5 years ago but can't rule anything out.

The lead being black almost makes me feel like they're trying to create some prophylactic against backlash so people can just handwave away legit complaints by pointing to him and accusing you of being raciss.

People forget that silent hill 2 wasn`t just "james killed his wife and now he's getting punished by demonic entity" drama but actually painted some insight into what Silent Hill actually is and why people visit that town.

they managed to reduce a good horror franchise into nothing more than pretentious drama porn made for/by miserable millenials that need to project every single one of their problems into everything, Konami should've just buried the franchise but noooo, They had to hand it over to Goober team so they could fanfic over everything.
