Oh, for sure. I can't think of one instance where Rob looked at any online controversy with maturity or humility. He clearly never got help for his raging narcissism, and a narcissistic meltdown was always right around the corner.

I think his strategy now is to allow certain people to re-upload his content and then hop on random alt accounts if he feels the need to talk shit. We've already seen him exhibit this behavior a few times now. That's like the epitome of laziness though—having someone do all the work for you. Knowing him, he didn't have any of that shit backed up and just hoped someone else did or didn't care either way. Who knows.

There could be many reasons. Maybe his life has finally hit such a low point that he was pulled away from the internet. Some people need to hit rock bottom before they finally change their behavior. Knowing Rob, things are probably worse in his life than we even imagine.

Also its likely that his meager, embarrassing return to streaming didn't turn out to be that satisfying for him. Not getting the money he used to. Not getting the attention he used to. No matter how he tries to cope or pretend everything was normal, no part of me believes he was having fun with this shit. Ain't no way. It was just a final desperate outlet for venting.

Maybe occasionally you'll get some gaming footage thrown in but that's as far as his editing skills go. And the Action 52 video is not as good as he thinks I swear. He talks like he made a Spielberg film or something, it's like a 7/10 video.

It's kind of embarrassing, I was gonna come up with an example of a guy bragging forever about hooking up with a girl who isn't literally deformed once when he was like 20, then it hit me instantly he also does that.

It's weird behavior, like someone with very low life success and low self esteem. It's like men who aren't ug virgins etc don't talk more than a day at most about making out with a girl because it's a normal part of life.

Most of the reviewer people on YouTube were just geeks with shit mics and bad social abilities. Once actual normal dudes started streaming on YouTube it was basically over for them.

That's been Rob for at least the past 17 years—maybe longer. Forever coping by living in the past. Bragging about mid accomplishments at best is all he has left.

It just blows my my mind that people didn't realize it sooner. All the signs were there for years. I guess you can say that early YT charm finally wore off...and then he went full nuclear retard and threatened AI cheese pizza while proclaiming that, "It's time for me to have some fun on here, guys." Like, that shit cannot be understated. He literally described that as "having fun." That's fucking demented.

I dont think those things really had much to do with his crashout at all. Rob should not be taken seriously when he holds up "the harassment" or other fan behavior as the reason for his crashout. It's a lie. A total fucking lie.

Dude ultimately crashed out because he was coming to the realization that he was a broke, directionless, unaccomplished, drug addled loser, that not even his submissive, retard wife could tolerate anymore. The whole thing was just a big, dissociative temper tantrum. Just a desperate, mid life crisis shit-fit. It really had nothing to do with the fanbase at all. It was just a convenient outlet for him to smash shit. Any of his complaints about the fans were just an excuse.

This was not a battle between Rob and his fans. It was a battle between Rob and his own crippling insecurities. And he lost that battle in a pathetic fashion.

Considering dude has been using his ever-fleeting audience as a punching bag for years, yeah, you're right on the money. Remember the whole, "I lied. Move along." thing in response to a long-time fan asking him why he suddenly booted up a subscription model for his content? Yeah, that pretty much encapsulates how he viewed his audience. But it did serve as a convenient excuse. It's the fans' fault he's broke, directionless, and a junkie loser. That's pure fucking narcissism, man. Like I've said before, it just absolutely blows my mind that no one called it out before. This fucker could've been ousted years ago.

In the few years leading up to the crashout arc, he wasn't even really active enough to really draw much negative attention. Then when the drug stuff came out, people generally felt bad for the guy. So it makes sense that people didn't come down hard on him until he went out of his way to become a lolcow.

Also for years Rob had the advantage of having really low hanging fruit detractors, like Drunken Punk and that guy he did the Persona 5 parody of. No one wanted to be lumped in with people like that.

I think that is one thing that really got under his skin during the crashout arc. Everyone came out against him. These were not detractors he could easily dismiss as trolls. These weren't the low hanging fruit. These were long-time fans, level headed people, and some of them (like ThatsDoable and the Dr Phil guy) were making videos that were funnier and better than anything he's made in years. People were using a similar humor style as his (but sharper and funnier) to call out all his terrible behavior and dunk on him like never before. Asa and David, for all the faults, totally dunked on him and he had no ground to stand on. And then Rob poetically became the new Drunken Punk himself. What an ending.

I think a lot of people didn't pay attention. I didn't. I just saw that he was reviewing a game or a Kevin Smith move and clicked. Didn't really watch any live streams.

Oh, for sure. He was absolutely seething at the fact that he had to contend with level-headed people who could actually form coherent thoughts and not the usual low-hanging fruit of braindead troll banter. Couldn't immediately punch down so the narcissistic crash out mode kicked in. The AI Dr Phil guy was fucking hilarious and totally destroyed Rob at the same time using his own tactics which made it that much funnier. Rob's clapbacks were so weak in comparison and fizzled out like a wet fart.
 
Damn, there's so much stuff after the drug addiction saga, I'm only semi-oldschool/middle-era/whatever you want to call it into Rob's lore, (slightly after CigaretteButtCock, pre Annie (?), didn't he also have another girlfriend that he joked about with her being addicted to "ciggies", or was that her?).
