After a long history of avoiding "culture war" (cringe term, I know) topics Simple has decided to go out of his way to do a pride month themed merch run.
Now if this merch were kept simple it wouldn't be worth mentioning but he's seen fit to include a verity of gender meme flags in said merch, which is pretty lulzy.
What's more Simple has stated that he will donate the proceeds of this merch run to an "appropriate charity."
In the year 2023 this will probably be a disingenuous charity used to fund a super pact at best and one that seeks to aid in gender affirming care child sex change operations at worst. I'm not saying that Simple is aware of this or even that he wouldn't support these causes; I'm saying it is a fact in current year.

This particular breaking with his tradition of avoiding political topics is probably not an issue for most of his audience. However many people enjoy Simple because he's not political, myself included.
Just to clarify for those who suffer from FAS, flag symbolism pared with persistent commentary on legal policy and social norms makes "pride" political rather you like it or not.
Really this isn't a big deal or even all that much of a surprise, I just wanted to post my thoughts about it somewhere and this seemed like an appropriate place to do it.

I have a few speculations as to why Simple is breaking with his unofficial policy, first and foremost being that he's just an idiot and doesn't realize the political implications of the pride movement.
Another theory is that he wishes to repent for his constant use of the term "gay baby jail" in the past and appease the brain dead, pearl-clutching retards who criticize him for it.
Perhaps Simple is attempting to garner good will after his BPD exes accused him of abuse.
It could be that Simple is irked by the OSRS community and other OSRS autist in his Discord server and clan chat who meme about Jagex's pride event which is currently underway.
Most likely though he genuinely supports the cause because he associates with a lot of LGBTQIA++ folx mentally ill people due to his adjacency to the sped running community (not a typo.) All so I'm not sure if it's a meme or not but he might have even dated a tranny (probably a meme.) Could be a mixture of all of these things, who knows and I don't think anyone really cares.

Seeing him jump into selling fag flag merch in one of the more contentious Pride months in recent memory is disappointing, but not totally surprising. From his TTT videos, I'm pretty sure his friend group has a person of gender or two.

Yeah, I don't know how active he is with it nowadays, because I never joined, but some of his older videos would have him mention his clan chat in the game and ask people to join if they also played OSRS and wanted to just hang out.
 
Wasn't his absence over being accused of abuse by a tranny or something? He might just be walking on eggshells after a blow like that. I'm not a fan of pride stuff, but running pride themed merch isn't nearly as bad as say an apology video for making gay jokes a lot. If he does officially apologize for anything then I'll be concerned but who knows.

Anyways, in regards to the pride shit: I'm a little disappointed but it isn't surprising. Pretty sure he lives in California, so it's to be expected that he supports tranny nonsense. I'm not so brain rotted that it'll keep me from enjoying his videos though. He probably thinks he's genuinely supporting a good cause.

doubt any of that shit is true, SF is the kind of person that looks like a cow on the surface but there's really nothing to it. can't even call him fat anymore (if anything he looks too skinny in that pic, start lifting heavy things my man)
im amazed how he can do kaizo hacks for hours straight and not get visibly angry when i would be going fucking apeshit after every bullshit death, instead he just laughs it off and tries again.

Unless there's a detailed analysis of how many videos it's been since the last GBJ, any wannabe evidence.zip made against Simpleflips is untrustworthy and does not warrant the time to even glance at.

This is late, but you know what, I have to give simpleflips credit for publicly disavowing executing your political opponents on college campuses. I kind of assumed a guy who sells rainbow keyboards would be in the "kill em all and let Science sort them out" camp.
