Come to think of it, didn't that episode and the whole Ms. Garrison arc predict the upswing of troons, especially of men who arbitrarily decide they are true and honest women and troon out?Well, didn't we have a canon trans character?

I got the impression that Kenny's female persona as Princess Kenny was nothing more than roleplaying based on what Cartman's said in one of the Black Friday trilogy episodes.Oh boy South Park fandom stuff. I know way too much about that.
While Butters enjoyed acting as a girl towards the end he's still a cis, probably straight guy at the end of the day. He's had more girlfriends than some of the main characters, he's shown to like women, and he usually identifies as male.
Kenny being made a trans icon is fine I think considering the Princess Kenny character. Does that mean we need badly drawn art of Kenny with a trans pride flag? No. Outside of pride I figure most trans people don't want to draw attention in public to the fact they're trans.
With Wendyll Wendy was just trying to prove a point. Otherwise she's a girl, but her character sheet as Call Girl does state she isn't cis. They're all just playing characters in that game considering Kyle labels his character an asexual alien or something to that affect.
The fandom wants so badly to have queer rep despite the fact they have Craig and Tweek who in show are a couple thanks to fan support. Support that Matt and Trey found weird so they added the dynamic to the show. (It's a dynamic I think is interesting and fleshes out two characters that didn't have much to do before.)
Otherwise yeah you have Mr. Garrison, Mr. Slave, and Big Gay Al as the only other queer rep in town. For an adult animated show that's kind of all you need.
Although I wouldn't be opposed to the idea of Kenny dabbling with female identity from time to time. Not in a woke way, mind you -- but along the lines of dressing in drag. He's a filthy little pervert, after all.
