The funny thing about this Uzaki drama is that all their complaints fall flat, she does not look like a child, she is 20 in the manga and her body proportions are not off its just the large eyes and big mouth on a round head that throws it off in a few select shots that often are use to over emphasis those features.

Of course none of that really matters to these people since they don;t watch anime to begin with.
Here are two full body shots from the show

Shit it even has a bear. I haven't seen "pedobear" memes in forever and honestly I think I prefer that. Tbh I never watched most of those shows but I learned about them courtesy of being on the internet since the mid 2000s.

As far as Uzaki goes, I really don't care for "massive boobs" like that but that's a personal preference. If she had, say, b cups or something I wonder if people would actually care about her looking inappropriate.

The redesigns are fucking unbearable, not a single one has her hair going into her eyes.

lol their artstyle is literally animal crossing but with less variety. Makes sense considering they admit "taking elements from other styles".
No offense to her but: If it weren't for the fact that she posted herself being 19 years old, I would've mistook her as some 11-14 year old artist with a large following.:story:

If your style doesn't define you as an artist, then what does?
Theoretically, your skill to properly render things. Some people stand out in a group by just being better, but it means you'd be in a group of people who are of lower level than you or have different sets of drawing skills (like being great at still lifes bad at people). Style doesn't define an artist, it just differs them from their peers (which, as said, also incredibly important). It's less important for things group projects like animation where the goal is to stick to one agreed upon style and companies commissioning people for art in a particular style the company dictates.

Seems like she doesn't enjoy being told what most of us observed. She accepts minor critique, but she's sticking hard to her style.

God, she talks like such a pretentious cunt. What’s with all these “progressive” “artist” types always coming off as irritating as humanly possible? Any hint of criticism these types receive they always feel the need to respond super passive-aggressively. It’s even worse when they normally come off as superficially kind until someone opposes them and then they show their true colours.

Her previous art style had effort and personality, now it's just sad and lifeless.

I tried making a base out of her style and there's something about her style that's just so unappealing. It's too easy to replicate in my opinion.

Her style's not SJW per se, but her actions are Lolcow-worthy. If ever she keep this up, we might have a thread dedicated to her.

Can you really call it a redesign when you can't even stay on-model?

I think it's funny that chibi/moe used to be an extremely popular style in the 00s for characters that are meant to be seen as cute or immature. Now it's less commonplace in anime. Chibi/moe characters all have gigantic baby heads and huge eyes. Take Umaru-chan for instance who has two forms: normal high school girl and chibi, but that's when she gets to be her annoying, unprofessional self at home.

Probably not as sexual as Uzaki-chan but the intent is still there. It's representative and not meant to be taken at face value and more of a testament to the character's personality than their literal appearance. Just look at Koichi from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure next to Josuke and Jotaro.

Those are the canon heights, but the artist's intent was to emphasize the symbolic nature of Koichi's "small" stature (and less developed maturity/power) than literally interpret it through drawing.

I consume a lot of weeb shit so I know there are often pedophilic themes in several shows - don't get me started on Made in Abyss - but I think it's so funny and strange that SJWs are incapable of viewing the symbolic nature of artwork and character design.

The Japanese in that response is Google Translated, this is an actual weeaboo larping as a Japanese person.

more specifically, the "Western" in that tweet translates to "western" - as in, the movie genre. "Twitter" translates to "bird chirping." it is ridiculous that anyone is buying this. this user's bio was originally entirely in English. I wish people would stop falling for this cringey bullshit solely because it reaffirms their own biases. stop encouraging weebs.

Again kids, I'm here to shill DeepL. If you wanna larp, at least try to sound somewhat correct when you're doing so. Google Translate bad, every time.
(People who know nippon speak, feel free to check how well it translates. It does euro languages well enough imho.)
