Every time someone posts AA art I die a little more. Specifically the OT stuff. Pearl's supposed to be like six so why does she look like she's old enough to demand to talk to a manager about some perceived sleight?
Everything has the potential to be good, it all depends on the execution.
In the last games Pearls is like 15, but i get the idea since her and Maya still has their old look before Spirit of Justice (and their noses look horrendous).
Yeah, that's true and i concede. They are recognizable due to distictive things in them like you say. But in the last one at least facial structure, nose, etc... Doesn't look horribly mangled beyond repair like in the others. I still have a huge gripe with the lips because it makes them look effeminate.
Why in the FUCK do these people need to make anything that's black horrifyingly ugly? These aren't black features, they're neanderthal anatomy plastered on top of badly drawn Cartoon Network style bodies.
Probably the same as people who drew snout-nosed How To Draw More Manga pictures in the 2000s: most move on and do something else with their lives, some develop their own art style and learn to draw better, and a few stay with it and never progress.
Judging from observation, I bet that most of 'em would delve deeper into the Woke Hole—the numbers of neopronouns, DNI's, lists of sexualities and kins grow larger and larger as they fall deeper into it, to the point where their art turns into something indistinguishable and indescribable.
In addition to what already's been said; I'd feel safe assuming most of the younger ones will probably grow out of it and develop their own artistic voice. It's where we all start, copying our favorite shit. Even when you think you're so grown and so mature, you're not always as far along in your art journey as you think you are. But a lot of these folks who get stuck in the woke cult might never change, in a Harrison Bergeron-style self-enforcing mediocrity. Regardless of what happens, the ones who change and grow and move on aren't gonna be the ones discussed on KiwiFarms at length, so there'll always be a sample bias here.
I hope this too. Just a young phase. I just hope the artist e:g binkpinkie (Jotakak reconnect doujin), Katetori.a, sevinite, StrawberryLindd, Manny Corobo, 001tea, kalofi, almost all BruAbba/NaraMis/FuGio artist will grew up and be a good people/artist in future. I wish them all the best improvement in art, like in behavioring/views
tbh, when i looked at Phoenix with that moustache i laughed because of how it reminded me of Ian Miles Cheong
They don't really improve because they have narcissist complexes about how what they're doing is "the right way to draw". If you can't see how weird your proportions look and how unappealing your style is, you won't improve.
If they're still young and are actively trying to improve their craft, this Era would probably just be an embarrassing stage in their art development.
