I mean, don’t get me wrong: ultimately it’s probably a good thing for society to broaden our beauty standards a little (I think that more people need to get laid as it might help some keyboard activists chill the fuck out).

However some of these illustration style clichés have become an entire other kind of weird beauty standard. Soon we’ll have people feeling ashamed about having normal proportions or average to small nose sizes. Since it’s now hip to chop up bodies for the Trans Faith, I could see people deliberately mutilating and disfiguring themselves to reject beauty norms too.

That's what they want, make attractive and pretty people feel bad about themselves. Similar to making people feel guilty just for being white, straight and/or cis. I have seen people (mostly girls) who stopped taking care of themselves just to appease their woke echo chamber.

I’m kinda used to seeing blackwashing in art, it’s everywhere. I’ve seen the REALLY shitty edits of people making anime characters black (I wonder if they’re making them do blackface or something)

Also I agree, I want to know what their REAL struggles are. For example, they’ll bitch and whine about not being accepted and a second later start blackwashing characters left and right… 🤔

What I hate is how they be like "there isn't enough BLACK people in anime".

Like, no shit? It's japanese animations. You have africa, just tell them to make black cartoons for your enjoyment.

Plus ain't it racist to change a Asian person's race to suit your own?... Sounds kinda like how the whites did back in the days.

I'm not sure what the demographic for Blacktober is. Sure, there are a bunch of blerds, as it takes no time for them to tell you themselves, but I'm almost certain that there are many white people who have latched onto it and suck Blacktober for all they can like leeches for brownie points.

I suppose, but at the same time changing ones race to suit your own is just no.

Now cosplay that's different but being praised for being "empowered" and "brave" just for being something that you are is also just meh.

ehh, i've always been of the opinion race bends are cool as long as it's not lazy or a caricature, which these tend to be both more often than not.

i'm not for or against the notion, as weird as it is to racebend from asian to black, mind you. looking into a culture and giving them outfits and hair styles according to said culture, that's cool! slapping an afro and using literal black with no shading or contrast and calling it a day in activism and owning da whiteys is not.
