Usually genderbends tend to look conventionally appealing instead of the ugly/homely messes some trans hc can be. Sorry, but masectomy scars that look like they were done in a backally chop shop are never pretty.

the biggest reason is because it's "transphobic" with the claim that "there are more than two genders!", and all gender swaps are simply man to woman and vice versa. i'm sure there's more reasons, as others have mentioned, but i used to hang around in sjw spaces and this was always the answer i got whenever the question arose. not to mention that people often believe that genderbends play into stereotypes just because the now-bent character has big boobs.
