I really don't understand the appeal of giving everyone "heroin addict who hasn't slept in 2 months" eye circles. It can work if you've got a deliberately creepy artstyle or your genre is horror for example, but it just looks gross and jarring on the cutesy SU style.

What's with the recent trend of giving every character freckles? Giving every character vitiligo was obviously a reach for SJW brownie points, but freckles appear in most (or all?) races even though they're mostly associated with white people. Most of them don't know how to draw freckles and it just looks like the character has really bad acne or something.

This annoys me more than it should- but only because I know that the palette was chosen to be appealing and catchy to the eye. Which it is- pretty damn cute picture I may add. Also, there are likely filters on top to make the picture warmer.

they called the artist white and she’s not white? Sure she’s half Canadian but she’s also Chilean and I don’t think Chileans are what you could call pure white people lol
it irks me to see people still complaining about marina’s skin color. marina just has a red overlay on her, god forbid, but pearl has a sort of yellow overlay on her and they didn’t give a shit about that. what am I going to do, just colorpick and keep marina’s skin tone like that for the whole picture? even if it would break the harmony of it?
