This isn't so much an art-heavy post but it is related to SJW material.
I ended up finding this author on AO3 who, for whatever reason, made Maria Thorpe from Assassin's Creed trans. She is the second author to do this. Maria Thorpe, canonically, is a tall, big, bulky woman who took the place of Robert de Sable when he was expected to be assassinated. Altair discovers who she is and lets her go. Historically, the Templars did not allow women into their ranks. If she was actually male, there'd be no need to cross dress. The Knights Hospitaller, by contrast, did indeed allow women.
Of course, the person transing her is a fat, trans Vet Tech who knows what male and female is in her pets.
She is terminally online. And I mean
terminally.
She also
writes originally books about a race of shape-shifting, non binary mass murdering furries. No, I am not joking.
She re-posts about her work constantly, which involves two Muslim dudes acting like gay dads in a time where such a thing was haram. I haven't read the whole thing back-to-back (I plan to), but the fact you are transing a character who isn't trans is, quite frankly, bullshit.
One of the blogs she re-tweeted was how not to whitewash black characters. This was the example.
Both skin tones are fine, black women look like this. The one on the left just resembles women you see in Barbados or those with mixed heritage. Nathalie Emmanuel has that skin tone.
