I mean they do that for any character that has dark-colored skin. I've seen a bunch of humanized Vivians that are niggers because she has purple skin too, and that's literally it. Madame Flurries also tend to be like that when she's humanized but I can kinda see what they're coming from.

The Marina fanart reminds me of whitewashed Dipsy for some reason. Pretty much the "dark skin color" of your average 2000's dress-up flash games. (except the flash game from the screenshot below was made by Ragdoll itself instead of a fan)

I remember my friend telling me about how the Steven Universe staffers had to beg fans to knock it off after they bullied a teenage fan-artist into a suicide attempt because she drew a "POC Coded" alien character as a White human. I don't know what said alien looked like but it sounds like these social justice warriors were taking stereotypical traits of black people and coded an alien as black because of it. So unbelievably based. Eastern artists putting western fandoms in their place NEVER gets old. EASIAN artists generally behave themselves, and have a lot of passion and love for art, when they decide it’s what they want to do. They take what they do seriously. I notice Eastern Fanartists are often sincere to a fault. They’re civil and know moderation. They’re not obnoxious about their interests, or prone to flying off the handle. Basically they’re chill.

African Americans on anitwitter are the antithesis of this. They bitch and moan all day, treating fanartists like indentured servants, and harassing VA’s, Story-board artists, writers, all to high hell, unrepentantly like clockwork.
