There’s this artist I randomly came across on Instagram who I thought has very nice art. Unfortunately, because Trump became President, it looks like she’s gone full activist in the name of being a mental health advocate. I’m not going to put all of her recent stuff in one post due to length, but I absolutely will be sharing all of it in the near future.
She’s selling both of those pieces as posters and prints by the way.

Yes, treat every autistic person the way you treat neurotypical people. You should treat your coworker Janet the same way you treat the drooling retard who smashes their head against the sped classroom door. Inversely, you should also invite said drooling retard out for brunch at a fancy restaurant. Surely they'll listen and attend.
The "high-functioning" and "low-functioning" labels exist for a reason. They're synonymous with "low support needs" and "high support needs" respectively. The latter conveys your needs in a much clearer way, but the former is significantly less demeaning and embarrassing to identify with. These people will agree and restate that autism is a spectrum, but will then turn around and tell you that every autistic person needs to be treated like a neurotypical person, even if this will actively hurt them.
I think they're Rei Ayanami and Kaworu Nagisa from Neon Genesis Evangelion. Neither of them are autistic.

The ones who say shit like this are ALWAYS people with very mild Asperger's and their main symptoms are being socially awkward at most. If you had to deal with family members who are low functioning and need a caretaker or be told what is right or wrong to do in public even as adults, your tune on functioning labels or the level system will be a lot different.

Someone please burst the bubble that this idiot who thinks is the center of the world lives in.
We have children and adults with autism who are unable to communicate, who hurt themselves and others, who barely know how to use the bathroom and literally cannot live without supervision.
These people need to learn that autism is not just their insane obsession with cartoons and social problems. If these people would stop romanticizing autism and live with the so-called "level 3" people they would know the importance of these terms. God I hate these people.
