It *is* a huge misquote. The text is ambiguous but a better translation would be "Six months ago I was the karate champ but I'm a doctor now," making a pun off "Karate Champ" being the direct translation of a pokemon name in Japanese. There's no shift in subject in the sentence implied by anything like the ';'.
I think it goes back into what I said, if the original text truly admits to any of this, or if Gamefreak really was pro LGBTQ then why do the fans still complain about how there isn't any canon rep in it (or at least in the anime)? I looked up canon LGBT characters in Pokemon and the first result I got is mostly speculation with a character or something you could say is a hint but could also be Gamefreak "queer baiting". I mentioned this on this thread or another but it feels like a very weird conspiracy that LGBTQ people make to where companies have to hide their support for queer people by only making these "hints" in the anime, games, etc but because of anti LGBTQ society they can't make it canon. Though to be fair, I don't know how Japan views the LGBT nowadays.

Thats why when I see stuff like that I take it with a HUGE grain of salt. Its always some dumb translator injecting their agenda into their work.
Its like the Character Acht/dedf1sh in splatoon, they made her Nonbinary now and people say that's canon in Japanese too but I have a feeling that's BS.

Little tread tax.

Ah yes, Off The Hook featuring Marina and... Poon Earl.

All the evidence they need is 2 people of the same sex next to each other and they are 100% confirmed queer couple rep.
I think the "queer baiting" its mostly just people seeing patterns that arent there, like 2 characters who are clearly just friends..
But lets say its suppose to be Gay stuff, I think they do it because its a kids series and saying there is canon gays could bring some controversy. Or change the age rating of the game or something.

Its like how in Splatoon with Pearl and Marina they never explicitly say they are together.

Speaking of Splatoon:

I mentioned before about how the Pokemon Sun And Moon anime did queer bait with Mallow and Lillie by making a reference to a yuri anime "Revolutionary Girl Utena”.

To be fair, this is clearly baiting by the writers who acknowledge this ship because apart from the scene above, there was really only "interpretation" scenes (like the two above) between Mallow and Lillie and no scene of them almost confessing their feelings for each other. Hell, at the end of the anime, we see Lillie about to confess her feelings for Ash and not Mallow. I have a question to ask the women in this thread. People can make the claim that there's no explanation to these images other than "lesbians", but aren't girls more allowed to do stuff like this and not be considered gay? If two guys were holding hands or did a play with a yaoi couple then obviously people would call them "gay" but I have herd that women can hold hands with each other or do yuri plays, and no one really suspects them to be gay. Not claiming that actual lesbians dont do these things, but women in general are more allowed to explore their sexuality than men.

Basically, yeah. Those screenshots to me just show two good ladyfriends. It's a lot more socially acceptable for girls to be touchy-feely with each other. Then again, girls can get drunk and make out and still not be considered gay.

On the flip-side, you have my absolute pet peeve: "bisexual" women. Women who look at another gal and think she's hot so they suddenly screech about how bisexual they are and claim those sweet, sweet oppression points.

The last dragon pic looks pretty cool until you read it's description and realize it's leftist soapboxing. If the author did not politisperg, I'm pretty sure it would be more badass.
Oh, and change the colors to something less resembling the trans flag.
I agree.

The original 'Unbreakable Trans Dragon' looks ickeningly ugly. That dark mask head on the lighter black body already looks off-putting, bu the tranny underbelly leads to forming the whole tail up, excluding the black tip, while tranny scales with black bases are growing randomly over the body and th eyes are cracked. In fac, the 'Unbreakable Trans Dragon' appears to be made up of a black scab shell that is cracked by cancerous tranny flesh and pus.

Ozanthium's dragon has the most interesting design. The flames, mane, and fur reflect each other nicely, while the iridescence looks good on them. I also like how the colours are arranged, what wi the white being dominant bu the other colours appear in teresting spots. This could easily be a normal dragon, since the tranny colours and messaging are far more subtle.

Simikaye's dragon has a more generic design, but Simikaye makes up in style, fitting medieval heraldry while looking hardcore. Once again, the dragon itself has far more subtle tranny colours, meaning that same dragon can appear normal if put in another context.

The messaging, however, is Horrifying in ways beyond what Simikaye intended. Already, there is an admittedly tough-looking viking dude fighting agains the dragon, which already has an 'Are we the bad guys?' feeling. However, the dragon is protecting dragon eggs. In tranny parlance, 'egg' means 'closeted transgender child', and therefore need to be 'cracked'. What actually happens is trannies eeking out confused or vulnerable children, lovebombing them, and telling them tha transitioning will solve all of their problems... hypnosis, in other words.

The viking is t hero after all.

Maybe queerbaiting happens sometimes but usually when I see it used it’s when fujos are mad that their ship didn’t become canon. It’s an interesting tactic, being like “they didn’t canonize our yaoi ship? They must be homophobic!” Not every straight couple that gets “teased” or whatever becomes canon either, and obviously that doesn’t usually stem from bigotry of any kind.

These girls are clearly just friends lol. Even as a lesbian myself I can see that lol. The girl utena scene could yeah imply that they are in love, but it's just one scene and the rest of the screenshots just show them being normal galpals lol.

I’m now imagining a plot twist where the trans dragon stole the eggs from another dragon with intent to corrupt their children, and the Viking took up a quest to get them back because 1. Dragons pay really good, and 2. He’s based like that.

One of these days I’ll make a longer post on this artist, and several others whose usernames I have saved.
Edit to avoid a double post. Here’s an example of what I mentioned before, every damn artist feeling the need to throw in their two cents about Le Bad Guys. Then again, his username has a watermelon in it so I shouldn’t be surprised.

The artist asked himself "What is a good thing" and rather than drawing apples, cakes, kittens, puppies, or even something like diamonds or electronics he decided to draw a bad red hat man knocking down a pile of prescription pill bottles.
Fucking pottery.

I decided to make a crappy recolor version since these things are so vague you can easily change them.

You know, I was going to agree with this except they of course had to put the two top left quotes. This user also puts a counter claim as well.

Interestingly, some quote tweets did call out how people in fandom hates straight ships and automatically likes a ship because its two same sex people, but whats weird is that people are calling it misogynist

I considered sharing it but didn’t know if it’d be “SJW” enough. But the “GAAAAY” shit alone should’ve been enough. I think the misogyny comments come from fujos often putting down female characters to lift up gay male ones, but this comes off as leaning more into gay fetishism.

This sort of reminds me of the persona fandom with Joker and Akechi, Joker and Maruki, Yu and Adachi etc. The sheer amount of people falling for "queerbait" in that fandom is unreal. Suprised that there aren't too many Persona stuff I am aware of in this thread.

Oh my god I forgot that she’s a vegan too, or at least has their mindset. Really checking off all the boxes for obnoxious SJW on the internet.

I also mentioned this on Bad Webcomics, but when she’s not politisperging, she’s the definition of Quirk Chungus. Right down to having a husband/boyfriend/whatever who I can’t tell you shit about.
