What gets me about "realistic" redesigns is that they always involve making the characters fatter. I can see bulging 12-pack abs and pencil-thin wasp waists being unrealistic, but thin and muscular builds are definitely as real as chubby builds. Why don't the people who make these ever photoshop away the more absurd anatomical details but leave the characters fit and toned?
More nonsensical race-bending/disability headcanons courtesy of the Overwatch fandom.
First off, Amelie Lacroix / pre-transformation Widowmaker:
Mercy is inexplicably black and had an undercut now, and Pharah is missing her arm(s).
how you gonna "headcanon" mercy being black when you can literally see her physical appearance and she's white as snow deadass these kids dont understand the concept of a headcanon they just use it as a magic word to fuck with characters to the point of unrecognizability like go make your own gay black jew nurse lol
Yeah, headcanon is for stuff that the canon doesn't get into, not blatently going against canon to virtue signal. And beyond that, doesn't Overwatch have black characters? Why couldn't they draw those characters instead of racebending white ones?
SJWs/tumblrinas don't give two assy shits about OCs, though, sadly. The notes in posts about OCs never hit as big for the canon characters. Unless the OC hits the tumblr button "look at my precious black/trans/autistic OC", then nobody cares.
I think black Mercy is a thing because some Tumblrinas have REEE'd about her being portrayed as a "white savior." The inferiority complex is overwhelming when it comes to race-bending.

'also jewish? idk if thats possible' anything is possible when you make a white character black, go wild. Also despite many overwatch characters who are amputees, Pharah is extremely popular to nuggify.
There can be black jews, i'm kinda surprised miss tumblrette didn't know about that.
And it's weird that Overwatch of all series gets SJW fanart. It already has amputees, characters of different races, and lots of women who "kick ass" and have different bodies. You'd think the fanart would leave the characters as it is.

Cause they don't want to admit their favorite characters are all the whitey mcwhitersons(also see: light skinned) of the game, so they make themselves feel better by making em black too.

Ironically, considering Pharah isn't amputee. Blizzard always said it was only armor but the christmas comic confirmed it. Hanzo legs aren't prosthethic either.
Not that it matters, a good chunk of fandom still draws Pharah/Hanzo without limbs anyway, they don't care about the characters or the game, only about pushing their agenda/fetish.
I've said it before, the tendency of the Overwatch fandom to make ridiculous identity headcanons will never stop amusing me. They can't stop at headcanoning racially ambiguous characters; they have to target possibly the whitest one of the bunch since they're incapable of empathizing with characters who don't look exactly like them.
